depends on the situation, they both have their place as do bare legs.
This seems a hot topic, with the fetish folks on one side saying "PLEASE WEAR
nylon ALL THE TIME!" and others (mostly gals who for good reason - sagging, runs, sweaty, etc) saying "NEVER WEAR
nylon IN ANY SITUATION EVER!" I've looked at related topics and most comments fall into one of these two camps.
I don't know why this simple fabric seems to carry such emotional response. I am a guy who likes women's legs, simple as that. Some look better in
tights or
stockings, some without, and most depends on the rest of what you're wearing. Bare legs with a business suit or sexy dress looks unfinished and sometimes plain shoddy, and
tights in a summer dress on a hot day make me feel sticky just looking at them.
Maybe the problem is for many years in the mid to late 20th century it was expected that women should cover their legs, just as they should stay home and cook and clean, etc regardless of their abilities and/or desires. The when the womens movement started to change people's perception of female roles and some of the "rules" were lifted, the trappings of femininity began to be discarded ( and I can see why - we men haven't done a great job of running the world up to now - we sure as hell shouldn't be telling you what to wear).
Having said that, however I sure do appreciate the feminine looks of the past and I appreciate that my wife does to an extent as well. She wears what she wants regardless of what happens to be in fashion at any particular time. Her own style takes in many looks depending on the situation and I love that she cuts her own path. i've seen her wear
tights/
pantyhose with open toed shoes and bare legs (and bare feet) during summer to the grocery store.
Whatever works for you girls, don't let the man keep you down anymore, even the "fashion" man!
