wow, i checked out your blog and i have to say..

no offense, i understand you might be sensitive about your body, but if you think those are bad then you should be counting your lucky stars...

picture whats on your left hip, multiply it by 50x and put it all over the lower half of your back for starters....thats what i was talking about when i said i have it worse than almost anyone...

dont be so worried about that, its nothing compared to mine

this blog is about finding a cure/ solution or trying out new solutions to remove/ treat stretchmarks its not a place to compare/ compete to find out who has the "worst" stretchmarks. complaining and competing for the title of "i got the worst stretchmarks so feel sorry for me" is NOT going to help find a solution which is the reason most of us come to this blog.

Hey guys. I'm not from the UK but I love this forum! I also suffer from stretch marks. I literally got hundreds on them from carrying a 9lb baby boy. Anyway, I search the web everyday in hopes there will be some kind of stretch mark "miracle", I came across this. http://www.nbc10.com/health/16268054/detail.html There is a link to a video on that page as well.
This particular segment has made it's way to news stations across the us and it looks kind of promising to me, but I'm scared to get my hopes up.
Have any of you heard anything about this?

hi as some of you know, im the person who complains that he has "the worst stretch marks" in the world...

thats not what im here to talk about though. this time im here to ask some questions particularly about peels.

see, ive never actually done a peel before, ive actually only started reading about them from this forum. the only "treatment" (if you would even call it that :( ) ive ever had was v-beams. so id like to ask a few questions...

first off, what are the results you get from using a chemical peel such as tca or glycolic? does it actually reduce the visibilty of the stretch marks?

2nd of all, are the results from using these peels permanent? or is it something you have to do every few months and keep up with it in order to reduce the appearance of your marks? is it a one time thing? i know that you dont just apply the peels ONE time, but i mean the whole process, is it a ONE time process?

can anyone tell me about rollers? should i buy one? do they actually reduce the appearance of stretch marks?

i might be getting fraxel laser done soon, but aside from that and the v-beams, im looking for more treatments to help me, so can anyone answers my questions? thanks

hello
i just started doing the dermaroller about a month ago and i am using it in conjunction with trilastin sr hoping that it works. dont know yet tho. I was using trilastin for about 3 weeks before i strarted using it with the dermaroller. I did not see any improvement so far with trilastin alone it did make my skin really soft but thats not the result i was hoping for stretch marks are still there and one tube of trilastin for a 30 day supply is 90 dollars with taxes and shipping so i dont know if its worth it yet. I have been using trilastin and the dermaroller for about 1 week and i THINK i see some improvement i am not sure yet since i do the dermaroller everyday the area is always red and swoollen so until it goes down to its origional colour i wont know if it worked or not.

i purchased my dermaroller from ebay it was 52 dollars it was in a sealed contained and steralized. If you are going to buy one of these make sure you buy from a reputable seller with good feedback since you will be poking holes in your skin and possibly making it bleed you need to make sure you buy a clean one and not one that someone else has used or returned.[/quote]

Okay, it's been about three months that I've been doing my routine. 30% glycolic acid, trilastin and emu oil. I'd use a dermaroller as well 1-2 times a week. My stretch marks are old, silver and they completely cover my hips abdomen and thighs. Most are between 1/4 to 1/2 inch wide. Honestly, if there has been any improvement it'd be that they are shallower and have faded in color.

Part of my problem is I have thin skin and because of the stretching and I'm assuming the amount of sm's my skin isn't taught. I'd think the tighter the skin the less noticeable the sm.

I have an appointment with a derm in a month. He's a younger doctor so maybe he is up on some new ideas with lasers or treatments for sm's. I'll let you know what he says.

Good luck to everyone. After my appointment if there is nothing new, I'm trying TCA.

Shoo

What size dermaroller are you using to be using it everyday? Are your stretchmarks old?

hi guys,

I just wanted to check in with everyone and say that the glycolic/peptide/emu oil combo has been working well for me. I do feel though that is mostly due to the fact that the marks I am using it on are new "raised && red" they are not gone but I have seen some improvement. I plan to move on to TCA once my glycolic acid runs out. I have been doing the outline on 410. Oh but I have been putting coconut oil on them (all of my marks new and old) once I wash the glycolic off.

J if you're out there. We need you and miss you over here!

wondering if any1 can answer the question i had earlier...

are the tca and gylcolic peels/emu oil etc. a permanent method? do they give permanent results or do they just improve it for a little while?

My experience is it only improves for a while. After several months and the skin totally heals the marks come back. They never really go away. They are just masked by all the activity on the skin from the acids. Others on this blog will likely disagree.
