i guess i should spend the 40$ and take a risk???

i have actually been using my dermaroller with trilastin cream i do see some improvemnt in the areas, but in the last two months when i started my dermaroller / trilatin routine i also lost about 15 pounds i am 5'2 so 15 pounds is alot for my size i now weight 107 i do not think that any stretch marks have actually disappeared but the skin is a bit softer. i do not know if this is because i lost the weight or if it is because of the dermaroller / trilastin combination. As far as trilastin goes i did not see any result like they have on the website.
i think those photos are photo shoped or something. my marks are still there none of them disappeared also i am thinking my softer skin could be because i am moisturizing it 3 times a day? either way i am starting to think trilastin is a waste of money. if you are going to try it out at least they have 60 day money back guarantee i am going to return the product it did not do anything like the website promises.

Please can you say what kind of improvement it was (size of marks, texture, colour?) and also after all this time has the improvement lasted or did the marks return to there initial state? Thank you!

Hi!
Yes I did have a lasting improvement. The stretchmarks did not improve much in terms of reduction of size or change of colour (they are white/silver), but the texture of the skin did improve (became softer and more "blended" with the healthy skin surrounding them, where before I had horrible ridges and the skin was paper thin) and that did last.

Have just done the first peel and so far healing up nicely...Had forgotton how much CP's STING!!! OW!

queen of peels....

how long did you do the peels for in order to get the result you achieved?[/b]

I seem to remember having done strong peels at regular intervals for about three months. Is the short answer. The long answer is that I was peeling EACH stretchmark (bearing in mind I have very wide, long ones that are well defined) with verruca acid (and removing the flakes - it "frosts" over - with a foot file), then whacking on copper peptides (- the strong variety - thus the sting) then after a few days a scab would form and I would wait for the skin to heal more or less completely (discounting a bit of discolouration) while applying CPs regularly. Then I would peel again. In all a peeling cycle would take me about a couple of weeks... After three months I got sick of the hasstle and also began to think that my routine was a bit too harsh: I also read somewhere that this method is more effective if you leave at least a month or so between peels for it all to heal up.

But still: I hate my skin SOOO much. not only do I suffer from stretchmarks, I also have adult acne, flakey skin on my face sensitive skin on my legs that gives me razor-bumps from hell etc etc all stuff that, nearing 30, I would have hoped to have resolved by now! Oh and I am taking a new contraceptive pill called Yasmine - I am sure I can feel an itching at the back of my knees and I know this means extra stretchmarks - i twould seem I am cursed to grow these sfuckers for the rest of my life...GRRRRRR

It's as if you described myself queenofpeels, I not only have stretch marks, I also have adult acne, get rashes and razor burns all over my body, I'm also nearing 30 (I'm 27) and taking Yasmin for acne! lol At least my acne seems to be under control since I started taking Spironolactone 4 months ago. I'd recommend getting it prescribed.

I'm planning to get DeepFX laser after Christmas. But before that, my mom bought me a cream called Rejene and sent it to me to use, in my country they run 30 min commercials saying how effective it is in eliminating sm's and shrinking loose skin. I'm not so sure but I may give it a go for a couple of months... you can look it up on google.

Oh yeh, and progress report:
my first peel has healed up (that is, the scabs have healed) and I have put a coat of Glycolic acid 50% over the top, just to get rid of the last flakes. I will keep applying CPs' regularly (ca. 2x a day).
Can't see any improvement yet for sure, cos the marks are still a bit red and swollen. When they've gone down and if I find the time I will take pictures (I posted pics about a year ago with what they looked like then for comparison) if not I will give another progress report!!
Take care all,
xxx

Wow. Thanks for the tips will check those two out on google!! - Let me know how the deep fx goes - like I say I am planning on gettign a course of treatments with the harmony pixel laser (similar to how fraxel + deep fx works) am really hoping this will provide an answer (I don't hope to ever have un-stretchmarked skin, just something that improves them significantly rather than not at all would be nice!!)

please please someone have an update on the lasers.

my injections arent working. I cant believe it. I swear it is like i am in some nightmare.

I am thinking of getting laser skin resurfacing. I know that wont eliminate them and that I would still need another treatment of something else but right now I would be happy for them not to be SO deep. Does anyone know anything about this?

Hi Mai:
What treatment is it exactly that you have been doing? Is it mesotherapy / eporex or something like that?? I read a site that was touting mesotherapy, where they sort of inject herbal stuff thats sposed to be good for your skin by means of what sounds similar to dermarolling...(do I sound confused?!) This is the site: http://www.skingenesis.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=41&Itemid=45 - have you had experience with this??

It would be good to get an update from those who did the deep fx peel on their stretchmarks over half a year ago... was it Tracy??? If you're out there, let us know how you're getting on after the treatment!

Thanks.

OMG WTFFF

why did you recommned me a derma roller when i cant even use it!?!?

i ordered a 1.0 mm dr. roller derma roller for 80$ to use o nmy sm's, thinking that they would improve the texture...

when i get the thing this morning, i read the manual and there are many warnings it makes me afraid to even use it!

first off, the thing that struck me the most is that it says "the product is sterlized. Use it only once."

wtf do u mean use it only once!?!? i just paid 80$ for a one time only treatment? i thought i could use this whenever i wanted???!!

then it tells me that i need anesthetic?? where the **** am i supposed to get that from!?

"do NOT use the product past the term of validity"

"this product should be used by a doctor"

there are more things that it says but my point is why the **** didnt anybody warn me about this?? i thought you guys knew what you were talking about and that i could trust you? now i just threw away 80$ ****** dollars...excuse me if im angry but put yourself in my shoes..

im not using this thing, it seems dangerous...what the ****???

LOL feel psychotic much?

you can re-use it. you just to have to steralize it first and you have to make sure it is kept in a clean environment...

Emla (anesthetic) cream is available at certain pharmacies or through your physician. The use of anesthetic has been discussed before...

I suppose you could find a physician to use it for you but you would be hiring someone VASTLY overqualified to rub a roller over your skin...

*sigh*

All dermarollers come with those warnings. Mine, too. I still use it evey now and then. If you read the thread earlier or did your own research on google you would also know sterilisation and a local anesthetic (easily acquired from the pharmacy) are also required with each use.

you can re use the same dermaroller a bunch of times yes it hurts if you dont use anesthetic but its only temporary and after doing it a few times its not soo shockin you know what to expect. I am using the 1mm derma roller and i am not using any anesthetic. before trying anything you should do your own research

as far as sterilizing all you need is alcohol dont boil it or pour hot water on it i real somewhere that it will ruin the dermaroller. i really dont see how it can be that dangerous i press really hard sometimes when i use it and the worst i have done is make a small bruise which goes away after a few days.
