oh no no,
I havnt tried TCA! Thats why I am hoping it will work for J, if it does, I will try it too. There have been many other people here who won't leave their name who supposedly have tried it though. I was not critical of J because I have tried it, I understand not all methods work for everyone. If it works, even just improvement for J or i think there is another poster who use it, then I will try it.
The only person who left their name who has tried it is RK. She occassionally comes back.
I am waiting for pictures though because everyone who has said its worked has never posted pictures and there seem to be so many more people who havn't had any results whatsoever. Also I have asked many a dermatologist about it and they insist it doesnt work. I dont neccessarily believe them though, most of them prescribe retin a, which studies show usually, at the most a 20% improvement.
Things I have tried.
Glycolic acid/lactic acid. Both up to 85%. I tried them where they would leave scabs and then did the whole copper peptides thing. Didnt help but boy did it hurt!.
IPL
carboxy
and of course a bunch of creams but those arent even worth mentioning.

Now I am injecting things (under medical supervision of course).

If J and the other person report good results I will have a go at TCA beginning in December. But I am waiting because its over 100$ for a large bottle and apparently a bottle doesnt last that long, especially if your marks cover the large percentage of the body like mine do.

If you do decide to try TCA then I hope you see improvement and let us know. When I try it I will do the same.

btw I meant to reply to your comment about stem cells. Apparently they use stem cells in Russia for stretch marks, its all very dodgy of course but if it works I hope other countries get the same idea.

oh, I forgot, I've also had needling done professionally.
With the big old needles under anesthetic. However I didnt have mine done coupled with any creams which apparently is the important part.

Well I've done a TCA peel about 4 times on my arms, the marks start on my biceps, and then go slightly onto my chest. The First one - I did with 100% TCA peel. Doing that is a big mistake, your skin goes very brown! I then tried watering it down, and it didn't work. I then bought some 25% TCA and did a light peel to test it, and it peeled well, and took most of the brown from the first peel away.

Ok so this last peel I did, I really went for it. 25% peel, but I didn't wash it off atall, and applied a few layers, the pain was bad, for about 10 minutes. My skin went VERY red and stayed red. It's like it destoyed the first layer of skin! It went very brown and thick crusty and you could still see the red underneath.

So I'm half way through this peel, and not only has doing it this way made the peel quicker, it also seemed to virtually removed the smaller stretch marks, and improved and larger ones lots. The skin is still slightly red but that doesn't bother me. I'm sure smaller peels will rid that :).

I'm seeing some success people! Maybe I should take before and after photos for my next one.

If you could take before and after pics that would be great. Maybe post them once you are happy with the results? Something I have noticed is that if you stop the skin from peeling for as long as possible (by keeping it very moist) it gives you better results. Also noticed taking a longer break between peels also does give the best results. You can use emu oil or olive oil as a cheaper alternative for the keeping moist bit.

Also, take vits if you can, vit c, b and maybe k, and zinc.

I never noticed he had done 100%. Definitely not recommended. Sticking to lower percentages is best to be on the safe side.

I tried 50% TCA 5 month ago. I can't remember how long I left on them. But my skin is still brownish. I want to warn all those trying out TCA to apply only a small test area first.

I tried TCA again on September 17th. I used 50% again, apply a very thin layer and only left it on for 2 minutes. What's werid is after 13 day there is no peeling. The area I applied is still brownish and it make my stretch mark look worse.

im sorry people but i think im going to have to call it quits...

im just not seeing any improvemnt in my marks and i dont think i ever will...i dont think that in my lifetime a cure for stretch marks will be found...and since mine are SO bad, small improvments are just not enough...i NEED to rid them COMPLETELY and since thats not going to happen, well...i really dont want to live anymore... :(

i cant live like this...ive never enjoyed the most basic things that life has to offer and NEVER will ...cant enjoy sex because my body makes me sick and i would never be comfortable in this ugly skin. cant go to the beach etc. ill just never be able to enjoy life and be confident in my self... NEVER...

im contemplating suicide more and more each day because of this...everytime i look in the mirror and see the 40% of my back thats covered in deep red stretch marks...knowing that they will never go away just makes me want to give up..

We're totally in the same boat, I think a lot of us are, it seems so annoying for I'm sure all of us even have bigger problems to sort through and these dumb marks are holding us back from the simplest of things. I'm not going to tell you to try to avoid it because that would make me a hypocrite but yours are still red so you most definitely *should* see improvement in color -- how long until then I have no idea, but please try to hold out and maybe we'll truly find something that helps. I have a skin condition and disorder that has left me with scars all down my arms to the point where I don't even wear 3/4th length sleeves anymore and even I can take these scars more than the stretch marks all down my legs. It's insane. Please try to bask yourself in things that make you happy to hopefully keep your mind off them.

I did suicide before and will probably do it again. But please dont spam this forum. I hate skimming through all 400 page again trying to find the important message.

For those using TCA acid. How long did it take for peeling to start. I applied very thin layer of 50% tca acid, it didn't peel at all after 13 day. And it looks like it isn't even going to.

For those of you who are struggling with this to the point of suicide please contact your doctor, or if necessary, a crisis helpline immediately. Stretch marks suck, there's no beating around the bush on that. But there are plenty of people who come to terms with them and are happy with their lives. I have a terrible stretch mark situation that I have been working on for years, and by far the best progress I've made is by just learning to deal with it. I went from being chronically depressed 2 years ago to only occasionally being annoyed by them. Even if you feel like you can't get rid of your stretch marks, there are other areas of your life that you certainly can improve and with effort, they will make up for it. You need to work on your outlook on not just the stretch marks, but your entire life. There are people who can help you with this, please use them.
