It's been a while since I've written a post even though I read the thread all the time. I'm currently in a place where I feel so frustrated that I'm willing to try bizarre things just to see if there is any improvement. The problem is I haven't followed through because I don't know if there will be any resolution. Have a good laugh. Here are some things I have given a shot.

Licking a graphite pencil. In homopathy graphite is used to soften Keloid scars. So why not sm's?

Wrapping Duck Tape over the sm's. I kept the tape on for almost three days straight. I couldn't stand it any longer, it bugged me so bad. I figured silicone has shown some positive results in diminishing scars and the tape has been used to remove warts on the skin. The thought behind both of these is that covering the skin and not letting air get to it may cause the skin to repair itself. So I would use my dermaroller, put retin-a on then wrap my belly with the tape. Crazy, I know.

I also was doing some "research" about enzymes that dissolve scar tissue. Suppossedly it's naturally found in sperm. So, you know...

Anyway, I'm going on a cruise to Mexico in a few weeks and I'm excited for the warmth but so upset about the swimsuit thing. I bought a one piece and it just makes me sad. I can't even do a tankini because it can ride up and show my belly. The part that kills me is that i work hard to have a nice fit body but my sm's make it so it doesn't matter.

I'm continuing to do the castor oil/heating pad thing. That one is easy to do! :D

so are you saying we should apply sperm on our sm's? :?:

Lol, personally, taking note of the word "was"... I doubt it. It obviously didn't work. If it did though, I'd certainly try it. I would try ANYTHING if it worked...

Hope everyone had a good christmas!

She said it is possible to permanently cover up all my white stretch marks completely. However because my area is quite big (from about over my knees to my waist) it will take several visits for several months to finish. It will also not be cheap but I'm guessing it will be about the same as laser. I'm abroad now so I'm going to get an exact quote when I return in the new year. I'll let you know how it goes. I feel optimistic about this because this treatment just CAN'T not work, as it's simply camouflage and does not depend on your skin collagen or other factors etc. Fingers crossed!

Could you please but a web address for this doctor or anywhere we can see before/after pictures.

Thank you

The clinic is called Finishing Touches in London. However if you do a google search for scar/stretch marks/vitiligo etc. and camouflage/permanent makeup or another technique which is called MCA (Multitrepannic Collagen Actuation or in other words dry needling) it should give you lots of choices for clinics.
This clinic is the first I'm visiting, but I might do some more searching before I start so I can get a better price. At the moment permanent makeup is my only hope. I've seen some amazing before/after pictures with white scars and vitiligo treatment in various sites.

Be very careful with this. Skin color/tone changes day-to-day. For example, when I'm cold, my skin gets a little darker and when I'm warm, a little lighter. It's a very subtle difference, but different none the less. I have an old white burn scar that I had a small area done with permanent makeup to just test it. I decided not to go through with having the whole thing done because sometimes the spot that was done blends nicely, but some times it doesn't, depending on my skin color at any given moment. I bet it will cover stretch marks nicely, but I would be afraid it would not blend with the surrounding skin all the time.

You are taking what I said out of context. You or another guest asked if the person was saying we SHOULD put sperm on our SM's... so I said taking note of how they said the word "was" I took it as if they had given up on doing that anymore... normally people give up on something because it doesn't work. I said it obviously didn't work but if it did I would certainly try it. I was having a joke... not being serious. Chill out, there really is not need to be so uptight!

I remember reading up about the permanent make up for stretch marks one.

I'm not 100% sure but I remember reading that you shouldn't then get a tan afterwards... because the surrounding (non stretch marked skin) will tan and change colour but the stretch marks will remain the make-up colour... making them stand out and be visable again?

Hi everyone. I have been so curious about new treatments and options for all of us. It seems we NEVER hear of any research being done, or anything new being tested. It's so damn frustrating and disappointing. I finally decided to go ask a question to Dr.'s and experts over at makemeheal.com. (this is NOT spam, and I am NOT promoting this site!)

This is what I asked....

"Hello. Does anyone know of anything new that is being tested or talked about as far as treatments go? I have searched every where desperately and finally decided to ask here. I've found some interesting things about adult stem cells, but I'm not sure if it's something that's being practiced much cosmetically here. Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!"

No one has answered yet... :| I really hope they will.

Finishing Touches.
the after photo of stretch marks on their website is HIGHLY manipulated.
I do not trust people who manipulate pictures to get customers.

NYC wrote:Hi! I have been following this forum for some time. I noticed MAI did not have any luck with the caroboxy therapy injections. I started them last March and only saw minor improvements in the stretch marks, but noticed that my hips became smaller and more taut so to speak. Then my doctor got a newer machine. It is the newest brazilian version and she administered the brazilian technique which consists of not only injecting along the mark itself but a couple of injections simply to get the gas under the entire area. I have had over 15 injections and am continuing treatment. I am extremely happy with the results and some stretchmarks have completely disappeared. I just wanted to share that with you all, if you can find a doctor with the newest machine.. check carboxyworld.com, that the results are really good. I have had these marks since puberty, they are over 10 years old on my hips however I am a naturally thin female. I have tried everything else including tcp peels, lasers, relume laser to repigment the mark, microderm.. and nothing has worked. Now not only did I lose inches and cellulite, the marks are almost gone. Hope that helps and good luck!!

Where did you get your treatment? Was it in NYC?

i got my tca from novapeels. they have a website but i think they sell over ebay aswell. i havent seen any improvement from tca but it peels just as it should. i havent tried any other tca but this stuff does its job, this method just isnt working for me. nothing to do with the tca being poor quality i dont think its just that this method simply isnt working on me. it frosts. it peels. its strong stuff (i got 50%). just no results for me. but i believe this would be the case with any tca i try as this one is doing what it should.

also a little update im seeing brown discolouration where i applied the tca. i dont know whether to carry on treatments or not. im not seeing any results and all im getting is brown discolouration. dont want to sound like a broken record myself but i dont have any treatments yet to try apart from the various lasers (of which i hold no hope in). im finding new stretch marks on my body by the day and i cant tell you all how depressed i am at the moment. where do i go from here?

and as for the question posted to the 'experts' if you look down the list of unanswered question they date back for months and months. it seems like they're extremely selective over which questions they answer. i just want to hear from somebody where we are going with this whole thing. how far away we are to finding a treatment that works. what form of technology is progressing the most. whats the most promising treatment. anything right now id be happy with im that desperate and depressed. ive been doing a lot of research (hours every day) and i cant find a thing. just the same old websites. the only thing ive found of any interest seems to be stem cell research. apparently its all the rage in russia but with the strict rules in other countries we're not even allowed to test the stuff properly. so we dont know anywhere near enough about it. but in russia they're using it and i think its illegal (but i cant remember fully what i read). so even if this did work it would probably be a hell of a long time before it was ever possible for us to get treatment. and even so it costs a fortune.

im so tired of all this
