Can't your daughter read? Surely 'how to' instruction are on the box? Can't see it being a difficult operation - she's only shoving a lump of glorified cotton wool up her crack. What will she do when she really faces a difficult situation such as opening a tin of beans?

I started my period at the end of fourth grade. I never had any trouble with it until sixth grade. Now, I can get the tampon in until the rings hit the opening. Then, it's like there's nowhere left to go. I've tried breathing exercises, and every position know to human kind. Someone help me! I play volleyball and we have to wear biker shorts and it's VERY DIFFICULT!

Not sure how much use showing her would be as you are probably both very different. I think this is something you just have to learn by yourself. It may be that she just isn't ready for tampons yet. I'm 25 and never got the hang of the damn things but pads really aren't all that bad these days!

I would never, EVER in my whole life let my mum show me her vagina. I prefer using sanatry towls coz i tried 1 on once and i couldn't get it in properly and it hurt taking it out.
