I've worked for Obama but must say don't care for his hypocrite wife or rev. show business and as far as Obama goes it seems right to think his lack of exerience could be trouble . Look at little georgey for a good example of that !

But still he is very smart and means well and America needs a change .

Oh Lena... the voice of sanity! 8)

At least you can see Obama has good points and bad points, just like McCain has... good points and bad points.

If you listened to many around here you'd think Obama was the Anti-Christ incarnate!

No wonder you're my longest serving friend on FF. :D

Hmm....

For anyone that believes in the antiChrist, it will be too late before it is known for sure who it is/was.

I personally don't want her as First Lady but neither could I stand the thought of Bill moving back in the White House, but I will give them the respect due if they make it there. I hope she won't think it "racist" by the name of the president's home.

But we are talking about the present, not the past in the Obama's situation. America has come a long way since the civil rights movement and Obama is a huge example of how far we've come since desegregation. Wright is creating racial division. He hates white people. I don't think Obama shares those feelings but I do think his wife holds the views of J. Wright. I believe her to be very bitter. A First Lady may have no power but a wife certainly has lots of influence.

Yeah Lena. There's nothing wrong with outing your own spies or starting highly contentious wars. These are just actions you dislike. Unlike ASSOCIATIONS. Associations are eeeeeeeevilll!!

For me whoever gets in, the most important thing is the team/cabinet and advisers that the President has around him.

The President can't do everything and doesn't generally make any decisions without consultation. Unfortunately the Bush regime had unsavoury people like Donald Rumsfeld, Dick Cheney etc. who seemed to have the ear of the President, rather than people like General Colin Powell who actually seemed to have an ounce of sense.

If Obama wins and picks a good team around him then hopefully his wife will have little influence... same goes for McCain too.

But Colin Powell quit on us. He was part of the president's cabinet. I felt betrayed when he left us. Colin could have easily been our next president. However he loved his family more and I can't fault him for that in the slightest.

Not true. He wasn't running for President. He quit the job he was appointed and accepted to do. He quit on the America people. He was needed in that office as we can clearly see now and then.

I think Colin Powell quit because he was not being listened to in the cabinet. He was saying one thing (Dove) and Rumsfeld and Cheney (Hawks) were saying another. Bush chose to listen to Rumsfeld and co.

If you're a man of Colin's experience and no one is listening to your point of view then why stay?

You stay! You don't quit. We needed him. I repeat, He quit. A man with his experience should have NEVER quit and especially quit on us, the American people.

But stay and do what? Play solitaire?

He was sidelined, which is basically akin to being sacked. No one was hearing what he had to say. So he either had to leave or do the following... :bang:

Not much of a choice really.
