My Platform!

Postby dudeski on Mon Aug 25, 2008 9:36 pm

Ok, after much soul-searching I have decided to run for Prez too.

My platform -- I will go on vacation, day one! I will not sign anything, do anything, or in any way, shape or form be productive at all!

And I expect that to be quite an improvement over almost every other Prez in history, with few notable exceptions!

Obama made a brilliant choice in Joe Biden as his running mate . . . a brilliant choice for the Republicans, that is.

Biden withdrew from the 1988 Democratic Presidential primaries after being forced to admit (the evidence was indisputable) that he plagiarized a law review article while in law school, lied about his academic record, and plagiarized his campaign speeches from speeches by British Labour Party leader Neil Kinnock, Robert F. Kennedy and Hubert Humphrey.

See contemporaneous New York Times news stories: http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9B0DE3DB143FF93BA2575AC0A961948260 ;

http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9B0DE0DF173AF937A1575AC0A961948260

We are not talking about one instance of plagiarism in his youth -- though even that would be inexcusable -- but numerous instances of plagiarism and numerous admitted lies, even as a Presidential candidate.

Biden is an admitted serial liar, and an inept liar at that – which is probably not a good look in the eyes of American voters for someone who wants to be elected Vice-President.

And Biden is from Delaware, a small state with few electoral votes already firmly in the Democrat column. In choosing Biden, Obama does not help himself in any battleground state or region.

It's a good thing for Biden that his plugs are looking better these days. A couple of years ago when he first started the transplant, he was looking :yikes: weird.

So, who besides me will be watching any of the convention tonight?

Well, it seems to me he has a keen sense of efficiency. Why rewrite a speech that has already been delivered. That’s the kind of president that I would want in the position, except I don't like his opposition to the US constitution.

Saw the convention last nite , you could feel the enthusiasm and fun :D Wud be great to be there being part of history .

Michelle Obama gave a great speech that the commentators said was a deliberate attempt to humanize herself, to get away from her earlier image as a affirmative action action ingrate & bitter ant ti American racist. She seemed sincere and hope this is the start of a turn around for the way most see her. Also a big tribute to Teddy Kennedy .Can't go along with him about what happened in 1969( we were just on the island it happened ) but you have to hand it to him for wanting programs that are good for the American people .

Sad to say just this morning onthe news the Denver police arrested 4 guys they think MAY have been plotting to get Obama . They found a high powered hunting rifle and sniper scope .All 4 reminded me of those nothings who blew up the Oklahoma City federal buoiilding I when I was in 9th grade. Maybe there just yahoos in the dope trade but the federal cops are looking into any plot .

Yes, michelle read the lines of her prepared speech well and seemed to enjoy herself. If barack wins, I think there is a high probability that michelle, after being first lady, will pull a hillary and run for Congress, then run for President. Unlike hillary, she won't have to run against barack. And barack will already have set the precedent that you don't have to qualified to become President. Accordingly, michelle then will likely be the odds on favorite to become the first woman President of the United States. And this will happen within our lifetimes.

On another note, officials claim those men threatening obama weren't a real threat, but who knows the real truth:

I find it interesting that Michele listed only the things our great nation enabled her to do as for her reasons for loving it.

Which ANY LIBERAL that really hates America can still do.
She fooled no one with a brain.

She still carries the black mans grudge and liberal agenda on her shoulders.
We Americans are damn tired of being thought of as dumb by the rest of the world. So we went to the polls in November and removed all doubt.

I liked the tribute to Ted Kennedy. It was good to see him looking well, other than that...

After my brief nap, I flipped over to Jay Leno where my man was being interviewed. Leno made a joke about the 'number of houses' comment and McCain summed it up by saying that it didn't matter the number of houses that he had, what mattered was the number of Americans that were able to own their own houses.

Mc Cain wasnt expecting a question like " How many houses do you have "..? That type of question should only come from a divorce lawyer.. :D

Exactly, I thought it was a stupid question anyway. I don't see what it has to do with him leading our country. Someone just wanted to exploit his wife's wealth. They did it to John Kerry on the last election too. His wife is the Heinz ketchup money.

Did any one see the story regarding catching some guys plotting to assassinate Obama? he was pulled over for a motoring offense and then they found guns and i think explosives in the trunk of his car leading to police rumbling a possible assassination plot.

I hope Obama does not get killed, it appears to me that Obama, is the only hope of peace in the world, unless i have misjudged things.

Am i wrong to think that Obama is a better chance for peace in the world than Mc'cain
