He IS a Bubba! :rotflmao:

I don't believe a word he was saying. All of them had fake smiles glued to their faces. He hates it that Obama got the nomination.

Actaully, I was surprised at how strongly bill came out for obama. He certainly tried a lot harder than his wife did. At least he implied that obama was good and talked about characteristics, even if he was short on genuine specific examples. Wonder if he was pissed at hillary for not being a proud wife or whether he wants obama to help with that $20+ million of campaign debt?

Of course, just him unsubstantively saying obama is ready doesn't make obama ready. And he was instructed to talk about national security as that was the topic of the night. All he could muster up was effectively saying that if you made joe biden acting president, then you'd have the experience you need.

I have to admit, I was relying on Dennis Miller.

But let's face it... you think free college isn't coming the day after free health care?
We Americans are damn tired of being thought of as dumb by the rest of the world. So we went to the polls in November and removed all doubt.

Very good speech by Obama. He described a future utopia. I was falling for it too, especially the "boot straps," fathers, person responsibility comments and all. It was too good. And then he got to 9/11 and bin Laden and he lost me completely. It's the lack of showing concern about the Mid-East that is preventing me from loving this man. He refuses to acknowledge the Mid-East. I went from a high to a low in his speech.

This man would get my vote if he would stop ignoring that we have real threats to our future by the Middle East.

Meh.

More political theater, politics as a team sport.

Rah, rah, go team, we'll lower taxes, give free stuff to everybody and solve every problem for every man, woman and child in America!

Vote for me and I'll be perfect!

Same old, same old, for me.

But YMMV!

John McCain picks Sarah Palin as his VP candidate, to win over the hillary democrats. A maverick picks a maverick. Turns the attention away from obama.

Just looking at her Social Stat's on Wikipedia and got a hard on!

Social issues

Palin is strongly pro-life, a supporter of capital punishment,[28] and belongs to Feminists for Life.[9]

She opposes same-sex marriage, but she has stated that she has gay friends and is receptive to gay and lesbian concerns about discrimination.[9] While the previous administration did not implement same-sex benefits, Palin complied with an Alaskan state Supreme Court order and signed them into law.[29] She disagreed with the Supreme Court ruling[30] and supported a democratic advisory vote from the public on whether there should be a constitutional amendment on the matter.[31] Alaska was one of the first U.S. states to pass a constitutional ban on gay marriage, in 1998, along with Hawaii.[32] Palin has stated that she supported the 1998 constitutional amendment.[9]

Palin's first veto was used to block legislation that would have barred the state from granting benefits to the partners of gay state employees. In effect, her veto granted State of Alaska benefits to same-sex couples. The veto occurred after Palin consulted with Alaska's attorney general on the constitutionality of the legislation.[30]

If McCain thinks his vp choice will draw Hilary supporters he's wrong and it's more proof how out of touch he is..................

This woman is likable but seems to be a right wing zealot that few Hilaryites wud ever vote for .....................

I disagree.
A lot of women were for Hillary just because she is a woman.
Just like blacks are for Obama just because he's black!
Which will be proven when all the race riots break out when Obama loses!
