What do you think the blacks will do if Obama loses?
We Americans are damn tired of being thought of as dumb by the rest of the world. So we went to the polls in November and removed all doubt.

Our deputy Prime Minister is a woman. 8) She stepped up to become acting Prime Minister for a few weeks at the beginning of the year while our new PM was over-seas.
I believe it's important to have approximately equal numbers of men and women in certain jobs, such as politics, because we each have different issues of importance. Plus women's brains and men's brains do operate slightly differently.

What is an acting Prime Minister? Does that mean the PM was disabled from his/her position of power? Does "overseas" travel warrant the transfer of power?

NOTE: My question is to Boingo.

We've had a shift of power, for 2 - 4 hours only not long ago when a president was in surgery under anesthesia. I don't even remember which president it was. OMG, Was it Thomas Jefferson?

Just wondering why.

I heard she is the woman nominated by the Repuplican party to be John Mc Cains running mate...she is currently waiting to be told what a VP
( vice president ) actually does...

Hmm, does she have a lot of governmental experience? I imagine lack of experience will continue to be the Republicans' main line of attack against Obama.

She is the Governor of the state of Alaska, which makes her the only person in this Presidential race with executive experience in government.

McCain, Obama and Biden are U.S. Senators, a legislative position with no executive powers or functions.

A state governor is the chief executive of that state's government; the President is the chief executive of the federal government.

Four of the last five Presidents were state governors before being elected President (Carter - Georgia; Reagan - California; Clinton - Arkansas; and G.W. Bush - Texas).

Ms Palin is an unknown to most of us. I had never heard of her. I will have to learn more before I can form an opinion if she is a good choice or not for Vice-President.

She didn't turn me off yesterday when the announcement was made. I mean.... 5 children, 43 years old is a concern for me. However, I've always felt that if anyone one could lead us to a better place, it would be a woman.

AND.... before all the non-researched comments, I am looking to the state of Alaska for answers. If you think Obama has 'original' ideas, guess again. Alaska and Hawaii are states that deserve our attention.

Lena, If you are reading this, check out Alaska. I think you'll like what you find.
