Not quite Zia, you could spend your loot on books and coffee but not on newspapers and tea, and only as long as you have dollars rather than euros.

I reckon currency is good there, but has to be in Dollars or Indian Rupees. Yen aren't even any good.

You could change them at Thomas Cook or the Post Office, but your bank would not accept them (unless it was a branch of Lloyds TSB).

It's a wonderful place behind the green glass door, there's trees with squirrels, bees buzzing and butterflies fluttering about but you won't find a forest with chipmunks chewing, or bugs and moths flying around.
