Whaddaya got right now?

Okay, let’s see if we can get some objectivity out of myron. ”Supercarriers”…define a supercarrier. It is not, by chance, your country’s version of an aircraft carrier, is it? Just so we know, you’re not patting yourself on the back, are you?

“The most advanced in the world”…so what exactly does “advanced” mean? British carriers are actually designed around the Harrier jet, an ASTOL concept. It is a concept far advanced to the US. It combines aerial combat with maneuverability in support of field troops. The US is finding out in Iraq that the F-18 Hornet and the F/A-22 Raptor are limited in that they can only bomb the S*** out of everything, but what does that get you? The Harrier gets you support for ground troops, which means you capture. Didn’t think of that, did you myron?

No, I didn't think of that -- because it's all ignorant bullshit. :withstupid:

So said the Catholic Church to Galileo. The problem with the dictatator mentality is they don't understand the two concepts of authority. Authority can mean authoritative knowledge, as is those who know physics or biology...and indeed, those who invented the atom bomb. Or, it can mean dictatorship, which you favor, myron. In Burma, there can be no help for the masses, because the authorities want to prevent it. This is the result of your theory, myron. Authority is power for you, not knowledge.

Yes, they will.

will not be nuclear-powered,

So what? What happens when one goes wrong or sinks myron? Big bummer then - isn't it?

Nuclear power is not everything. We also building brand new RFA Tankers to resupply them at sea. We don't need nuclear power. We have bases all over the world - you do not! That is why you need it - and we do not!

definitely will not be "the most advanced in the world"

They most certainly will. There is no doubt about it. The American carriers will be completely out of date.

Our carriers are stealth and have unique BRITISH features which are far beyond the US. That is why were are also developing HMS Combatant for 2020 rather than the planned third carrier "HMS Duke of Edinburgh".

There is a video from the builders. I cannot find it at present but I shall look again.

and will not built for another 10 years.

Your maths is bad. Another 6 and 8 years - actually.

When will the rest of the "recent military orders" be delivered and deployed?

Some of the Astute Class and Daring Class come into service rather soon.

Our oldest warship dates from around 1980 (and that we are replacing!) A lot of yours are old tubs from the 60's and 70's. We have a modern force. Even your carriers are out of date. But it's no matter - all the better for us!
Whaddaya got right now?

More than enough to kick the arse of your homeland of Turkistan for sure.

You know, on this I've been very reasonable. I've supplied fact after fact (with proof) and the little Turk thinks he knows better.

You are a joke.

Britannia rules the waves. Always did - always will. Your carriers are nothing but rusty tubs. In our last major exercise the Royal Navy won - without our brand new vessels!

It's not quantity - it's quality. And that is one thing you will never have.

Further, the US carriers have 3000 sailors EACH on board.

Because of the massive amount of automation on our new carriers, we will need only 800. This is a massive cost saving and is far efficient than anything the US has to offer.

Britain's future carriers will be about half the size, carry about half the number of combat aircraft, and will not have the range of the 10 American Nimitz-class nuclear-powered supercarriers presently operational.

Moreover, by the time Britain's future carriers are built and deployed, America will have deployed even more advanced nuclear-powered supercarriers.

In terms of advanced military hardware and military power, no country is even close to the United States.

Little Britain is, and always will be, comparatively little league.

There you go.. Britain has been the bitchin' barbarous black-powder bully, bombing bumping, bashing, bruising, and bullying, baby-nations, to make them her disease and criminal dumps and source of slaves and human experiments, and to rob ancient culture's treasures, to fill Britain's museums with stolen goods and artifacts from all around the world, just like Hitler did to most of Europe and Arabia... Maybe Hister was just copying England's history..?

England laid claim to all treasure stuff they found in King Tut's tomb and in many other ancient Arabic tombs, and still does... Those things belong to Egypt, FFS!... Give them back!..

That ought to rock the boat some... I bet right now a hundred ferocious Brits are spinning in their chairs, screaming christian obscenities at me, and frothing dark-beer and blue-blood...

The same flawed data myron once presented.

Brazil and Turkey - no nukes? No carriers? No advanced aircraft?

Absolute rubbish.

You know, it's very funny. The likes of Rebman sprout up and challenge me on every little detail - yet when something so obviously crap is posted by someone who knows nothing about the military - no-one bats an eyelid.

Odd that.

Well, since this my thread, I am now declaring it closed.

If anyone is interested in continuing this - either start it in VIP or PM me.

I'm not putting up with the slurs or the air heads who presume to tell me about military matters.

In reality, it doesn't matter what I post here, even if I can support every last word. For we'll have Rebman here to troll, Bobin here to post flawed crap and myron to be his usual anti-British self.

END.

When a dimwitted, bratty kid realizes he can't win, he stops playing, declares victory and stomps away in tears.

The source I quoted includes 14 citations of the CIA World Factbook 2008.

Let's see now ... Colonel ... CIA ... Colonel ... CIA ... Colonel ... CIA ... hmmm ... tough one. I'll go with the CIA.
