Cerazette

Postby Sandra K on Wed May 28, 2008 12:49 pm

When I started taking Cerazette again after having my first baby, I had a very light period for a couple of months and then it got less and less until it got to the stage of having no period at all (which I really liked and saved a fortune on tampons!). But if you read alot of the replies on this chat site, everyone seems to have had difference experiences.

Regards

Sandra

Cerazette

I came off Cerazette 5 weeks ago too and had my first period which started last Saturday, and finished bleeding yesterday. Not that heavy really, just what you'd expect. I had been on the pill since I had my son back in 2005. It seems that everyone who has put a posting on this chat site has had different experiences.

Ive been on this pill for over 3 years now, I had a regular period during the 1st month I was on it and hadnt had one for tow years but noe they are coming irregular and are more like a reddish discharge!

Noy happy at all as I was getting used to not having a bleed!! Ive felt great whilst taking this pill and have had no mood swings, etc!!! Maybe it just time to give my body a break!!

cerazette

Postby guest1980 on Thu May 29, 2008 10:04 am

I switched to Cerazette from Logynon (21 days), a month ago. What I didn't do was start taking it the day my period started. I started like I would if I was still on Logynon - at the end of the 7 'sugar pills'. Now I'm at the end of my first month and realised that I should have started it sooner.
I haven't had any bleed at all so far. After reading the leaflet and the comments on here, it seems that part is pretty common. But then how do you know if you should be worried?
Does anyone have advice/an opinion on what I should do now? I've been on the pill for years , never having a problem like this before when I have switched pills and I have switched several times.

Changing the time of taking cerazette.

Postby Cassandra983 on Thu May 29, 2008 1:55 pm

I have recently begun taking cerazette and I want to change the time I take it to a more convenient time. Does anyone know if it would be ok to start taking it at a new and earlier time? I know that if you miss a pill you have to use other forms of contraception for two days so would it be the same case?

Wen i first started taking Cerazette i was taking it at about 7am every day but now it varies between 7 and 10am. Does this make a difference and can i still use no other contraception? :?

As long as you take your next cerazette within the 12 hour window, ie usually take at 7am and take it then at 7pm you are still protected this is if you forget to take it in the morning.

I'm not sure if this applies to moving your time slot, it depends on, I assume, how far you are moving it. I'd be safe by taking it at your new time and using extra protection for 7 days

Hi,

I have been on this pill for about 12 months. Over this time I have put on about 2 stone, my periods are all over the place from spotting to heavy bleeds.

My weight is the real issue. It is really getting me down. i used to be a 10/12 and now verging on a 14/16. Gutted. Do you think the weight will come off if I come off this pill?

I exercise 4-5 times a week and still I gain weight.

Well tonight I panicked as I had thick red clots again :\ Thank you elaine, I shall perservere with the pill...I started taking it on the 22nd April, and for a brief time I didn't bleed. The thick brown discharge I can handle, its the bright red blood and clots that scare me :( I cant even remember when i was due my last period!!! I get cramps n it does scare me. But I shall make an appointment to go and see my doctor on monday :) hopefully I will get somewhere. Hope you got things sorted westmidsbabe23 :) Now I hope i do too lol.

I will keep everyone updated as and when i know myself lol.

Been on this pill since February. Lovely light period but been bleeding since April. Went to family planning clinic and said this is normal could take between three to six months to settle. I can't wait. I am going to carry on and hope it will settle. I don't want to go back to heavy periods, so this bleeding although a pain is better than heavy periods.

Hi this is similar to what happened to me, I started last November and more or less bleed the whole time, even though it was light. I have just come off the pill as I'm fed up, 7 months was just pushing it for me.
