I think your concern for being inappropriate is a little misguided. Look at yourself and decide whether or not yours is. If you're happy with the way you act, go right ahead and continue. If you're not, change something. Don't wait around for someone else to decide.

Honey, if he’s not married and you can steal him away from his gf, go for it. It ain’t a closer if there’s no ring on the finger. If he were married, I’d shoot you before I’d say go for it. But before the ring, it’s an open field.

It's not up to us to decide what is and isn't appropriate from this guy. It's up to her. I think she's looking for somewhere else to lay the blame should - I mean when - the other girl discovers what they're both up to.
