A friend of mine is a Christian. We totally disagree about practicing homosexuality. We are however still good friends and have a respect for each other although we dont always see eye to eye.

No but its kinda fun. I suppose im feeding and enouraging the idiot but dealing with arseholes like that without wanting to permenently verbally abuse them can only be a good thing. He's doing me a favour in a wierd kind of way. Backhanded comments from/debates with people in pubs/street/parties will be an absolute breeze after that biggot

The bible teaches whatever the interpretor takes from it. There are Christian gay churches. There are also gay muslims - who still consider themselves muslim regardless.

There is much debate even within specific religeons about how one should worship and judge (or not) - and its not just the gay thing people disagree on.
