Should I say anything to the mother or keep my mouth shut. Just wondered if anyone else has come across this?

I think if you know she's getting teased its worth mentioning.
Interesting that the parent is likely aiming for a conservative look and (see below) could be delivering something else.

I'm thinking she might be right. Its a classic school girl look.

I think it depends on what part of the UK you're in. Where I live in the South West, girls mostly wear trousers to school - my daughter does and even though she sometimes wears white long socks no-one sees them apart from she changes in PE. I saw some of the programme Waterloo Road the other day which is set up North and the girls were wearing short skirts and long socks, so maybe the fashion has caught on from there.

right back at ya!
I drive by the homeless sleeping in the cold, dark street, like bodies in an open grave. Underneath the broken old neon sign that used to read "Jesus Saves." It just makes me wonder, why so many lose and so few win.

all those spam posts have been reported. I'm surprised no one else helped admin out by reporting it sooner.

I think, you should follow the dress code of the school. If there are no guidelines regarding socks, then it's better to see which is proper for your daughter. Personally, I don't think there's a problem wearing knee socks with a 14-year old girl.

I live in the north west and we all wear white knee socks, its really changed over the last year as everyone used to wear tights but knee socks are the happening thing where I am. It's not just school, we wear them after school too and the boys seem to like it too, I'm way more popular today than I was a year ago in baggy tights and socks are more comfortable.

No trousers allowed at our school at the moment.
