Topless sunbathing - who decides?

I notice the progression in your line of thinking stops before it is played out to conclusion. It is more than you suggest. When a man asks his woman to put a top on, or wear a skirt of a non exposing length, it is a matter of respect. Respect for the relationship in keeping some things sacred; respect for the woman to not be putting herself on display, which works into even more self respect for her. When one line is crossed, it makes it so much easier to cross the next line, and the next, and the next. Until the boundaries of the relationship are so blurred, there is nothing much left keeping it together. I don't see that as controlling, I see it as common sense.

My wife goes topless and im happy for her to do so.. She has huge boobs and i quite enjoy the attention she gets, knowing that only I can can have access to them!

In a perfect world, Brum. What if a gang of thugs decided they were GOING TO GET ACCESS? you get taken out, and your lady is descended upon by them, relentlessly? I just think an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

But that could happy anywhere, at anytime to anybody. If a gang of thugs decended upon us and were determined, there's not a lot you can do about it, wouldnt matter if your topless or not.

You don't think that the extra display of flesh, beautiful as it may be, might contribute as to who gets their attention? If it came down to fully clothed coupled, or at least in swim suits, versus a couple not completely covering intimate parts....I think the deciding factor would go to the less than covered couple, as there is already some kind of sexual energy (real or perceived) for them. I think it is cool in the somewhat safer realm of one's backyard, but I think it is inviting problems at public beaches and stuff. I like my girl topless too, but the though of some punk trying to hurt her because he can't control himself boils my blood, you know?

I understand your point - I really do, but where do you draw the line? if a woman goes out in a short skirt, by your reasoning she is more likely to be attacked than a lady more soberly dressed. I think it is quite worrying to go down that road and perhaps a little paranoid, the only answer would be to remove any semblance of female sexuality and wear a hijab or burkha so that every female is uniformly dressed. I'm sure no one would like that.

As i said, i do respect your point of view but disagree on this occasion

I hope, that where you live is safer than where I live. Here, kids dressed in new shoes get beat up for them. Here, clothing choices actually do play a part in a scum bag's choice of who to go after. It's a messed up world, regardless of how much I or we may wish it different. I probably am too paranoid, but if I hadn't seen some of this stuff with my own eyes, it may be different. At any rate, I wish continued safe sunbathing for you and Mrs!

My hubby loves it when I go topless and I enjoy the admiring looks I often get from others on the beach - but we also go to naturist beaches where it is wonderful to sunbath and swim totally nude, and if it is quiet enough even more !!!!! Try it.

My first time topless was driven more out of obligation than being encouraged into it. I went on a holiday with another couple and soon as we hit the beach the other girl removed her top straight away and I felt I had to keep up with her so I did so too.

My biggest reservation about it was being topless infront of my friends boyfriend, not her, complete strangers or my boyfriend though.

No I havent gone that far....but I did sunbathe in a Thong when on hols in spain (private garden) tryin to balance the white to tan ratio up....what i didnt take into account was the fact that my bum hadnt seen the sun since i was about 4 years old....and quite frankly it didnt seem to like it much!
It was bright red, and felt like the sun!
As this was on the last day....the 4 hour flight was not good at- all!!
