trying to concieve after coming off the pill

h girls, was just reading all ur posts and its soo good to see other people feelign the say way as me.
i came of cerazette about 3 months ago after being on it for nearly two years. i took a period which lasted two weeks last month and am waiting patiently for my next period which would be due either today or last thursday. unsure as to exact date as first week of period was light and second week was heavy. no period as yet anyway. i tried a test on monday and it was negative.

its so difficult with people telling you they are pregnant plus i work in a nursery which is worse.

is there something you can do to see if your pill is out your system like a ovaulation test or something? am new to this trying for a baby

I am new to this site so i thought i would say hello.

I came off the pill (lyognon) last month after 10 years with a years break, as we are trying for a baby.

Could i be pregnant this early on as my breasts really hurt?

I have never experienced breast tenderness before and it hurts even when i walk down the stairs! I am not blessed with big breasts(32C) andi t may sound strange but they feel so big even though they don't look it.

Has anyone else experienced this? I am due on tomorrow but don't feel like i am due on and not really expect to as i know your body has to get back to normal.

i suffered from breast tenderness and soreness when i came of cerazette. i am also had other pregnancy syptoms such as sore tummy, heart burn etc.

i have been off cerazette for about three months and have had one period and am over a week late, done a test a week ago today it was negative and done one on thursday and it was negative. i dont know whats wrong with me. am gona try another test incase it was too early on and if not it must be done to my system being mucked up after the pill.

hello everyone!!

well took another test thismorning and it was negative
i was really hoping it would be positive! i wanted to sit by the tree xmas morning with my hubby open all our presants then when we finished id say to him, ive got another presant for you but you cant have this one for another 9 months and i know he would just have the biggest smile on his face and be really happy!!

ive only been trying for 2 months now, but it feels like forever!!!
i work in a shop and i have never seen so many babies in my life!
or pregnant women!!

been ill this week so im feeling really low at the moment and the negative P,T just put the topper on it now

oh well xmas is nearly here and i am looking forward to it cuz i got married in turkey september so this will be our first xmas as husband and wife!! my hubby is great and supportive with all this babie lark.
just got to go tell him now, weve still got to keep trying!

well i have had my moan, been up most of the night with the flu!! LOVELY!!

hello! feeling strange at the moment, i was due on thursday, ive got no pmt signs!! my first true period after coming off the pill was spot on, i came on rite on time!! so i thought my next period would be the same. i took a p.t 22nd and that was negative

so i dont know what to do? thinking i might just wait till new years eve and take a test, thats if i dont come on from now till then!!
im trying not to get excited, fingers crossed its a positive

well i didnt do a preg test i was going to leave it till new years day but i had really bad cramps and to my dissapointment again I CAME ON

Thats gotta be so annoying urg actually trying to get pregnant but it just isnt happening... yet.

It seems its common for women aged 25 or 30+? I think all or nearly everyone ive known have said they didnt get preggers right away after coming off the pill.

Its strange for me to hear because in the past ive found it too easy to get pregnant. First time when i was 18 as i screwed up the timings between having sex and taking the pill after coming off it, second time i was on the pill and still got pregnant im almost 23 and im 32 weeks gone.

all my mates got pregnant straight away after coming off the pill!!
so i thought i would be lucky too! but dosent look like that is going to happen for me

well just have too keep trying and keep my fingers crossed im 28 in 5 weeks, and realy would like a baby before i am 30.

Hello everyone!!

Well ive been trying to get pregnant now for 3 months since i come off microgynon!! And still no luck, but i would say one thing
I WILL NEVER GO BACK ON THE PILL AGAIN!! EVER!!

In these last few months since i stopped taking the pill, my cycle as just gone out the window, you feel like your going to come on all the time with all the cramps etc you have.

your body basically plays tricks on you like it did on me this month i had all pregnancy symptoms and just negative tests.
I tell you it drives you mad
But we want a baby so much so you have to keep going through the motions every month and just pray that you get a break soon

i'm new to all of this so bear with me! i came of microgynon at the end of sept after me & hubby got married in aug. my periods were fairly normal afterwards. though i think this month the pill was finally out my system. i had really sore breasts, weeing all the time and was feeling sick. i was gutted when i came on 2 weeks ago! it was very frustrating. hoping now we are goin to have more luck!

i def not going back on the pill again!

i stopped taking the pill in oct last year and 2 weeks after i had all pregnancy symtoms and inplantation bleed, i had sore breasts which lasted about 2 weeks, then took a test and it was a faint positive but found out later that it was a chemical pregnancy!!

ive i had been on the pill for 9 years and the doc has said it can take months even a year for the pill to come out of your system!!
so you cant really predict when its gone! unless you fall pregnant then you would know straight away!

i am well thank you. hope you are too.

i am in middle of my 2ww (think thats right!) now. i am trying not to get my hopes up but me & hubby really want one! we found out my sis is 14 wks gone & 2 other couples we know are also expecting.

i found the first few months after coming off were like normal on pill but last month was really weird! never had anything like that before. think i was on it for about 9 yrs too. its amazing how it can play havoc with your body!

i am just hoping it doesn't take us long. i know i have to relax abt i all.

well its been 4 months now since i came off the pill!
my cycle is 31 days now so i know just about when im ovulating etc!
poas today but again a negative
But i get used to not getting my hopes up
When it happens it happens i guess?
I think if i knew it was going to take so long to get caught, then i would have come of the pill earlier!

Hi

Can anybody help!!!!!!!! Or answer a few questions.
I'm 30 yrs old, just got married in Dec. Have been on the pill
for 15 years, Microgynon first then Dianette for the past year.
Finished pill in Jan '08, had 7 dy withdrawal bleed as normal, for the next 2 weeks had headaches, nausea, bloatiness, SPOTS then 32
days later had my first 'proper period' as they say, which only lasted 3 days and was extrememly light, which is abnormal for me, was this my true period?????? Started taking Vit B6, which I thought was the answer to all my prayers........... Due to ovulate on Sat just past (1/03) woke up with awful cramps, spots lower back pain, my period isn't due for another 2 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is all these symptoms OVULATION or is my period on its way...........
I'm so confused, I know at my age I should know better, but I have never
tried to conceive before and didn't really care how long my cycles where
or whether I ovulated or not
I would luv to hear from ANYBODY who understands all this more than
me..........

It could be that your system is just trying to settle down. Its not uncommon to get all this when you stop the pill (spots. headaches, mixed up periods ect.) The one thing I will say though is you are maybe thinking about it too much, you will only get your period when its ready. Just enjoy the trying & relax as stressing about ovulating dates & such will not help you to concieve.
