Nude sunbathing must be the 'in' thing. My neighbour has started lying out (I think where she thinks no-one can see her!)

To bare or not to bare?

Postby Annie1904 » Thu Aug 03, 2006 1:39 pm

The polite thing to do, when you are a guest, is to be aware of the reaction of your hosts and follow their lead. If the parents seem unhappy with you sunbathing nude or topless, then don't do it. Even worse, if his father ogles at you, then definitely cover up! But the sister's reaction seems positive, so keep her as your ally and sunbathing companion - or go to the beach as another reply suggested.

But let's be honest, sunbathing topless has been around for a couple of generations now - I bet his mum is happy to do the same. I'm 55 and always sunbathed with as little as possible right up until my early forties. Now it would be a bit unsulting to the general public, but if I was at a private pool you can bet your bottom dollar I'd be stripping off - it's healthier - with lots of SPF, of course. In fact, at a recent holiday at a friend's villa, and screened by trees, we were all skinny dipping. As we were all in our fifties we were no match for the likes of you, but it was such fun!

So (apart from when there are oglers around) stop thinking of your naked body in a sexu4al way and use it as an opportunity to give your body as much Vitamin D as possible to keep you going in the winter!

Hi Julie,
Did you get the chance to enjoy the sun over the weekend? Hope so. Love x

Hi, I've only been browsing here over the last few weeks, not posting.
Yes I did enjoy the sunshine - my b/f and I went off for the day on Saturday and found our favourite remote spot where we had a good time! And yes, we did go naked to top up our tans (with lotion!). I bought another new bikini recently, but decided I'd go without after 5 mins, it was SO lovely.
The weather this year's been fantastic, made even better by being able to go without clothes quite often, what a difference.

Guest - are you one of the regular posters or a visitor?

Hi Julie,
thought you would enjoy the hot weather.A few weeks ago, as everyone was away and the office that overlooks my garden was closed, I decided to be more daring than usual and sunbathe in just a white leather tie side g string. It felt great to take it off and just enjoy the sun.Hope we can all enjoy next summer.Love x

Guest,

I am sure that you do not need to feel restricted by the office overlooking your garden. The men in my office never minded when a girl in the flat opposite used to walk around completely naked. :D

This sunny weather doesn't seem to want to end! I'm just back from visiting my cousin in Somerset for a few days. We went shopping in Bath yesterday and it was glorious!
She was a bit more daring than me in a crop top and mini skirt and me in shorts. Saw a really hot (older) guy in a polo top and white rugby shorts with thighs to match which made us both comment!
Then we went back home and did some sunbathing in our bikinis.

Sherwood,

Yes, a long time ago! No more sunbathing now since autumn's here. I'm not putting the bikinis away though, as my b/f and I have vowed to go swimming regularly until the spring. Need to keep in shape and pray for another summer like this one past.
We're thinking about a winter holiday, but nothing decided yet. Interested in suggestions for a blast of winter sun though. xx

Not long ago, if someone had suggested that I wear that, i'd have died off! Now I would, but not swimming in my local pool..........
