I Would Die Of Boredom...

Postby Nigel » Fri Feb 17, 2006 12:37 pm

Hi

If I stuck to the styles that are available in the blokes dept, I would have died of bordom long ago! Things are slowly improving, but basically, apart from certain garments which men have no need for, I see no reason to prohibit blokes from what amounts to 75% of the available clothing in the stores!

Men and women are naturally different enough from one-another we dont need to exagerate these differences by insisting on different clothing.

Just as some women dont look good in that skirt, or those trousers, the same applys to men. Imho, I look better in a skirt than some of the huge women I see wandering around here with skirts up around their arses! What looks 'odd' today can very quickly cease to look odd if enough people do it.

What puts any man off of breaking the rules is that he is afraid of being considered gay. With the way that society judges men that try any thing different (no matter what that may be) this is hardly surprising.

Wearing a skirt gives me a buzz but its the sort of buzz that I get from standing at the top of a bungie jump, not a sexual buzz. Additionally, girls who I have asked have said that they get the same sort of buzz when they wear that super short mini on a night out.

I have seen your pictures in another forum. You look great in your skirts. Keep up the promotion.

What will be the sex of the babies then? Will they be totally sexless?

Then we will be free from the passions of the body. However, what will our bodies be like?

andre wrote:jeans were designed for men check the front what purpose is there for a zip being there for women no purpose whatsoever but there still worn by women why! because they like them and don't care who they were designed for. and men dont fret about women wearing them so what's your problem with men wearing womens clothing. seems thou dost protest too much :?

what about zippers on the sides/backs of dresses and skirts? zippers are intended to give a snugger fit. on jeans maybe women who have a "pouch" or whatever want a comfortable jean that won't slide off

Re-read this quote and think about it for a while to see how silly this statement sounds. Sure sounds like garbage to me.

dragonslain wrote:“So you wouldn't think it was odd if women want to wear boxer shorts?”

Nope and apparently neither do manufactures since they have been making women’s boxer shorts for at least a couple years. Female boxers are made to properly fit her body and don’t have the opening the front (like women need one). It seems that when women want to adopt a men’s article of clothing Manufacturers can’t seen to get a women’s version out there fast enough.

Personally, I do not wear boxers. However, I think that they are better for women (except at certain times) than for men as we do not have those floppy things to restrain. If a guy wears boxers with short shorts his folppy things could hang out.
I think the couple in my avatar look really great.

Other than that I don't really give two hoots what you wear.

There can't be much to do in your part of Norfolk... :(

I've got a denim kilt, my mates think its cool... My gf loves it and thinks I'm sexy. :P Times are changing, dear, you need to get with the programme

dragonslain wrote:Personally I would like to see skirts become a unisex fashion. A majority of male skirts are kilts or kilt-like. I think that five-pocket jean skirts and cargo skirts are good candidates for unisex skirts.

I would buy a cargo skirt or knee-length denim one if it became mainstream... I can't see what the fuss is about myself...

problem with kilts is their extremely high prices... if they were around the £20 mark, I think more peeps would buy them... I mean, would you spend £60 on a 'budget' kilt (really sh*t itchy material)?

I saw the long-jumper-over skinny jeans look as a men's trend this season, so skirts are the next logical step... If the UK gets a summer this year... :D

in many offices of large cities in India...men follow unwritten dress code of formal shirts and trousers.....while the women folk have all the freedom to not only wear formals....but also our ethnic/traditional outfits like salwar-kameez or saree...or some mix-match like kurta with pants...and if a guy wears kurta(men's version of it)..everyone stares at him and some people will ask him...if he is attending some ceremony(wedding etc).....its stupid...I have no idea...how they will react if a guy goes dressed in femme style...I think he will be branded a gay or an eunuch.....
