Just look at it... general chit chat my arse. It's full of spam and bollox, hardly a single conversation involving a "guest" at all on this section page. A redundant space, even the bots wandering around looking at obvious spammy posts must be bored with it...

"Guests" should not be allowed to post- but I guess FF gets the site traffic for it's sales via the odd genuine Guest.

The guest areas, especially this one and the now defunct JFM, used to be quite fun places to post even though they were a bit like the wild west at times. They were also places which recruited members who started off as guests, including me. It doesn't seem to happen that way anymore though.

Unfortunately I have to agree. I'm not sure why, maybe we don't have the range of characters and even the odd nutter (Hi Fred!) that we once had.

I would propose a radical change..... get rid of all political areas, and bring back the ones that have been removed! Politics and religion are always guaranteed to start problems and fights.....but outside those topics I've observed people get along well enough to chat about damn near anything, even if it is insignificant . and tomfoolery.

There's just not enough people on this one... not compared to what I'm used to on other sites anyway, this one feels almost deserted sometimes.
