Rapper Lil' Kim has been charged with conspiracy, perjury, making false statements and one count of obstruction in Manhattan, US. Ms Jones, 28, was named in an indictment in Manhattan federal court along with 4 others on Wednesday.
Magistrate Judge Douglas Eaton set bond at $500,000 (£280,000) and Jones was released. The obstruction count carries a maximum of 10 years in jail, the other counts 5 years. She is up on 8 counts in all.
The charges date back to 2001 when the star gave evidence to a grand jury. The case evolved around a shooting incident outside a radio station on 25 February 2001, when five men fired 22 bullets.
