If under 18s are paying tax it seems reasonable to give them the vote. I don't know how much difference it would make because I suspect the majority are not interested in politics. It isn't perhaps that unexpected, since all major parties have been pursuing the same Thatcherite policies since the mid 1990s so what difference does it make? I'm a bit more optimistic that with the excellent Jon Cruddas involved in Labour policy making it might change. In a sense it doesn't matter if ultimately they are right or wrong, the electorate deserve a choice of political direction, otherwise there's no point in elections at all.
allow prisoners to vote?
A British obsession this and of course it plays well with The Daily Mail Tendency. I'm not that bothered and I suspect the majority of prisoner aren't either. On the other hand much of Europe falls in line.

Very tempting or maybe introduce a simple question like "do you read The Daily Mail or a News International paper?", but no of course not, we can't go down that road.

We have to engage young people in politics but I fear they can't be arsed. If you made a General Election like X Factor it might work or even had a system where you could text your vote.
allow prisoners to vote?
Not really bothered either way to be honest. Question is...where does their vote count? In the constituency of where the prison is or where the prisoner normally resides?

Absolutely.
