Somewhere deep down most men feel they are being taken advantage of if the women expects to to be wined and dined with nothing in return. However the return from the woman does not have to be sex. Splitting the bill might be appropriate or the other way is for the woman to pay (and choose) for the second date.

Ladies think of it this way, if you went out with your female friend and she expected you to pay multiple times in a row, how, how would you feel about this friend? Unfortunately there are a few women that think just their presence is more than enought payment for being on a date. Not the kind of woman I would want to spend the rest of my life with. And the guys that are basically buying sex, is he really the man for you?

Unfortunately, being nice isn't usually attractive to women. I would say that the extent it's attractive to men is ambiguous, too.

I also don't think it is old fashioned to not put out after a single date because the guy paid for the meal. I think it is just having stronger morals and perhaps in some cases, more respect for yourself.

Save for religious beliefs, getting physically intimate early isn't immoral; it's not hurting anyone in itself. That said, I would recommend women not to sleep with guys early, unless they really know what they're doing.

I don't believe so, but I would say to consider offering to split the bill if you have no intention of seeing or ever getting intimate with the guy.
