Great article! And right on point as relationships can be wonderful, but can also negatively impact your pocket book when they end suddenly.
I think that in my particular situation it is true that the health of my financial situation greatly diminished, following the breakup of my marriage. Left with two babies to care for, my personal debts greatly increased, while my spouse has not contributed to caring for the children in two years. It's sad that men find it so easy to remove themselves from a family situation, caring for themselves only, protecting their own interests. The children suffer the consequences of a father's irresponsible behavior. Even with the economic crisis around the world, I think a man can still find ways to support his children!
