Wishing to be anorexic is not something you should be doing.
Anorexia is an actual disease that could end your life.
Im only 2 years older than you so i can understand the self image issues that we all have.
You're not overweight at all, it all depends on how tall you are and whether you're naturally big boned or petite.
Im 16, 5 ft 7 and weigh 8 st 8 which is underweight and all i ever hear is that i need to put on weight.
i look and feel skeletal but as im naturally small i cant do anything about it.

you can carry on eating 3 meals a day because you need it for energy but cut down in snacks that you eat and try eating an apple instead when you get hungry.

or try exercising more, im very athletic which is also why im slim.
going for a run or playing a sport once a week will help over time.

you're only 14, you've got plenty of time to change the way you look if you're that unhappy. x

I think you are bloody stupid. I've been suffering with anorexia for the past 2 and a half years. Its complely recked my life. I ended up in hospital being force fed and tube feed when i reached a weight of four stone. Please think very carefully before you start messing around with your body. I was just a couple of days from death when i was sectioned at hospital.
I am not anorexic by choice. I lost both of my parents at the age of eight and only 14months ago did i track down my mother. Please ignore all of these F****** pro anorexic sites. they are full of bull S*** and dont help people deal with their insucurities. you are born with what you've got... love it... you only live once so dont F*** up your body and life for the sake of being thin its not worth it. Healthyness is the forward. Looking and feeling healthy is the greatest thing you could have. Happiness is also a thing that you need to keep. when you begin to mess with food you become prone to mood swings and depression, your hair falls out, you can become incontinant and you organs begin to close down. I have perminate liver damage now and i have complications with other organs. Anorexia is not cool... there are some people out there that suffer with the disease and cannot help it because its there way of coping with complications in their life. For People that wish to be anorexic... well you are all F****** STUPID. Its just stupidity... i dont think people realise how horrible it is to live with disease day in day out.
THINK TWICE BEFORE YOU START MESSING AROUND WITH YOUR BODY... DONT WRECK YOUR LIFE! BE SUCESSFULL... HAPPY... HEALTHY... YOURSELF. Dont copy others just because they think its cool to be thin... because its not. YOU ARE AN IMPORTANT PERSON SO MAKE SURE YOU TREAT YOUR BODY LIKE A TEMPLE NOT A PILE OF S***...

PLEASE CONSIDER WHAT I HAVE SAID. ANOREXIA IS AN AWFULL DISEASE AND YOU WILL ONLY END UP IN A MENTAL HEALTH HOSPITAL IF THINGS GO WRONG.

Please look after yourselves. :(

Just exercise regularly, find a gym partner or go swimming, and you can eat whatever you want and stay slim.

Its really that easy.

Hi guys. Its really interesting reading what you have to say, I’m a third year uni student studying advertising and marketing currently doing my dissertation. I’m looking at the possibility of introducing government advertising into the UK, to help prevent eating disorders. (perhaps using shock tactics / fear / guilt??)

I’m looking for guys and girls (aged between 18 and 25) from the UK who might be willing to take part in an . _ interview. It would take about 30 mins of your time and it would be helping me out massively. If you’ve got any opinions on the matter – feel free to drop me an email and perhaps we could conduct an _ interview on msn or something.

Please! Think Before You Do Anything Unhaelthy im 21 and 9 years ago a freind and i decided to go on a diet, we joined dance classes swimming i went to the gym and both ate healthy. On weekly chekups with each other i noticed she was losing weight faster than me. I dint like this so i went to the gym more by myself i skipped meals and ecessively went jogging. My Freind found out about me doing this and she did the sme, soon we were throwing up going out and saying we'll buy food out to skip dinner,calling each other fat names to psychologicly brainwash ourselfs, our school dinner time was used for exersice. i was soon dangerously under weight and a my freind was worse. We Were OuT On Friday after noon abaout 1 pm ish, then she collasped, rushed to hospital doctors sed she is in a hypoglycemic coma, many die from this. That Sunday 10;26 am she died. Guilt angony and depression Thrusted Upon Me I knew i needed help. i am now a healthy 5ft9 and weight 9st3lbs, it took my best freind dying to show me what i was doing, ive surffurred from this too i had a serious calcium deficancy and it is unreversable i have to be very carefull as a fall could break many bone easily.Mentally im not too bad it still huants me but its nothing compared to others.
Basically Be Healthy Not Degustingly thin, think of others it affects your familly so much, it is a very selfish act! 20% of anorexics die. You Think that you can just stop wen your at the weight you want but you cant! its like a drug! you wont stop untill you die! or your forced to be fed though a tube! Just Please Think!!!!

i was planning on becoming anorexic and i no it's realy stupid (well after rEADING ALL THE COMENTS) im 13 im about 5.6 and i wiegh 9and a half stone me and my friend where at her house and she has a wii fit so went on it and when i wieghed myself i was on the brink of being overwieght at first i was quite upset when i saw it then i didn't think about it. butthen the other day we were doing p.e and we were trying to break this bottle and i said "oh let me try im the heaviest out of you lot" then the friend that was with me when i went on the wii fit said (my name.........) was on the verge of being overwieght when we took the wii test and started laughing. just at that moment i felt like bursting into tears i already feel insecure enough as it is. and now i feel desperate to be anorexic.

I think there is a significant amount of misunderstanding about eating disorders amongst young girls.

I find this really sad, because between the ages of 12-18 if you think it is "cool" to "become" anorexic then you could damage your health for good...not to mention the lifelong obsession with food and weight which will control everything you do....

It is one thing to want to look attractive, slim and healthy..its normal to want that....but people with anorexia look ill - because they are...they are expressing themselves the only way they know how...by slowly killing themselves as they start to metabolize their organs when they run out of energy from food.

Sorry girls, but if you ever spoke to someone who has been through anorexia and come out the other side alive, then you would NEVER wish this condition on yourself or anyone else.

You should be proud of who you are regardless of your weight, dont let peer pressure make you feel inferior.

that is just like saying, i want to be depressed, i want to be ill, i want to have cancer?

This is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. All the damage it causes for what? to attract a few feable minded, shallow boys. The liklihood is, everybody wants to look like a model, but realistically now, we won't ever be.

Being anorexic limits your life comepletely. you will not be able to do all the "normal" activites like drinking or eating with your friends. If you do manage to find a boy that is attracted to stick thin girls, he os going to get fed up with not being able to do anything with you.

Wake up and smell the coffe...or perhaps you should drink some.

honestly it is really not clever to look like someone from a concentration camp eat only when hungery dont eat until you are full eat healthly and of course by all means have that burger and chips as a special treat stay slim stay safe stay heathy please

Okay, everyone one of you SILLY girls who wants to be anorexcic are f****ing ridiculous. Excuse my language but reading this crap is INFURIATING me >:( How can young girls liek yourselfs want to wish your life away. Thats what your doing, you want to be anorexcic like its the latest fashion! Its NOT! Its NOT healthy and NOT 'cool' and NOT pretty its UGLY! and people who think its beautiful or attractive are sick and cruel for making people this age think this way!
I'm 15 im a size 10 in UK sizes weigh about 9 stone and i get complemented about my appearance all the time. and IM NOT ANOREXCIC i eat liek a normal teenager should, i exercise and just eat healthy.
Why cant girls understand the consiquences of this. I mean you could DIE! You want to die at your age? You havnt even lived your life and you want it to end. Your all stupid and this is utterly ridiculous. I''m sorry if i have offended anyone I know how hard this must be, but come of girls think this over. Think of the people you will upset, your family and friends.

ur 14 u dont need to losee weight,, when ur anoreic its hard to get out of not trying to scare u or anything but youu just need to stop and think about itt ur 14 and u got ur whole life ahead off you boys dont like really skinny anorexi girls,, and its soo worrying for ur mum an dad aswell seeing what age u are, please just think about itt im 16 i weigh 9st but im happy with what my boy looks like boys like the way i look and im sure they like the way u look aswell just lern to trust people in what they say about you x tasha x please just thinkk x

I need some help. I was unwell a few months ago and could not eat for a week. After this week I lost just over a stone in weight and i felt great. Since then, I have been avoiding food and when I do eat I can't stop myself from doing vigourous excercise afterwards. Everytime I eat it feels like there is a voice in the back of my head screaming that I am fat and that i must not eat.

I hate feeling this way, I can't enjoy myself with friends and hate having to constantly punish myself.
Is this the beiong of becoming anorexic?
please tell me it isnt. : (
please can someone help me?
I can't tell my family or friends because they'll think i'm pretending to be anorexic to get attention.

I am a student mental health nurse. Anorexia is a mental illness and should not be seen as a diet!!!!!! wanting to have the disease is rediculous and offensive to people that have suffered and do suffer from the disorder! if u want to loose weight then u should do it the rite way i.e eat healthily and exercise!!!!!!!!
To the girl that is having problems with food u really need to speak 2 sum1 about ur difficulties with food. show ur family the comment u have left on this site if it is easier that way. please dont suffer in silence. If you think u need help then please ask for it.

Hey!
Please please please don't wish to become anorexic! People who wish to be don't actually understand how horrific it is! I used to be a sufferer and as a result I will never be able to have children as I neglected my body so much. It also affects you mentally! I am 5ft 2" and I weigh 8 stones. Aparantly this is a healthy weight but I can't get through 5 minuites without thinking about how fat I am! If you start down the anorexoc path you can say good bye to going out with friends and socialising as that's the only way you can hide the fact you're not eating.

If you want to loose wieght then try this.............
In the morning have a bowl of fruit or cereal
In the afternoon have a bowl of veggie soup
In the evening have grilled chicken and steamed veg


If you combine this with excersise you're sure to loose weight in a healthy way

Please please think about what you're doing
