Bloated Stomach Problem

Postby Speedy » Mon Jun 05, 2006 8:26 am

I have been keeping my weight well at 118lbs at 166cm. lately my weight keep going up abnormally to 128 lbs in three weeks. I am really frustrated with it especially that terrible feeling of bloated stomach as if I am pregnant.

So I cut sodium (my favorite chips eating habbit), low salt cooking, increase water consumption min 5 glasses a day to 8 at the end of the day. Ya, sit up increase from 30 to 100 daily. No candy, chocolate for a long while, reduce intake of bread, pasta, rice, any stachy food. And commited to 20 minutes exercise (basis - no joggin running..something simple). Ya. weight is going down. try it please.

I have always had a flat tummy, but recently it has been really bloaty, and I have had some wind too! I was adviced to try some supplements to aid digestion. I take a Pancreatin Enzyme tablet before every meal and also take Acidophilus which provides an additional source of beneficial bacteria naturally found in healthy digestive systems. Basically one tablet is the same as eating 10 yoghurts! I have 2 a day with food. This has returned my flat tummy I'm very happy :)

No no no...

Seriously, all of you with bloated stomaches probably just need to eat a bit more, or a bit more often. If you do not eat enough, your stomach can't handly the food properly and it will distend... and the fact that you are so concerned about your bloated stomach is hinting towards self-image problems, and leads me to suspect you're on the verge of an eating disorder.

Here's what you should do: eat little bits of something with protien throughout the day, but also get a little exercise. You may have to gain a little weight in the process of reconditioning your stomach back to normal, but you'll be healthier.

By the way, girls with pot bellies are kinda cute. Just so you know.

Did any of you stop to consider that this is a natural womanly aspect of ourselves? And that is just the way our bodies are at some point or another? All or most women have ponches, no matter how small or large it's just going to be there.

OMG! I'm so glad i landed in this forum! I am very underweight right now (I am 5'7'' and I weigh 98 lbs) because I lost alot of weight this summer...i started to eat less...and now, I want to gain weight! I want to gain ten pounds, but there is one huge problem...I get sooo bloated and full after I eat a little of anything! I'm ALWAYS in pain, I have alot of gas, and usually if I'm not constipated, it's diarrhea that comes out. OH help please! I'm so skinny btu I have this huge round stomache, and if it wasn't for this bloated stomache, I would eat more and gain ten pounds!!! Should I give up wheat and soy? Because I eat alot of tofu and soymilk and cereal and oatmeal and whole wheat bread stuff

:o i seem to slightly have this problem too lately. and it is really annoying :( plus i am passing smelly wind a lot.
my diet is very good at the moment. however one question.
would oats contribute to bloated stomachs and gas, because i have just started eating that in the mornings...
thanks! x

beauty is pain

Postby maranatha » Fri Sep 21, 2007 6:18 pm

hello- ive recently become a health freak! it started with my dad and then he convinced one of my sisters... and now i have joined the club! the american diet is truly filthy, bad, unhealthy, etc... ! in highschool i never really cared about my weight because i played soccer! but now 2 years later i started to worry that my depresssing weight gain of 110 to 125 (im only 5') might be a problem! especially the fact that i looked pregnant all the time! i pretty much ate whatever i wanted- not too bad (or so i thought)! until my dad started cluing me in on the harmful foods that i had been eating! ANYTHING processed, apartame (found in diet drinks), MSG, and the list goes on! i ate salads and fruits and veggies... along with lunchables, candy, chips, soda and so on. i decided that i needed to detox my body after reading up on the idea! i have been trying for about 2 weeks - been tempted a few times but basically stayed on track- i started drinking fresh juices, eating fruits and veggies- and i quickly began to feel and see a difference... however i now am quite convinced that i am allergic to wheat- one of my sisters found that she was and my dad now thinks that he is! my stomach was doing fine until a few days ago i ate quite a bit of wheat... i looked and felt like i was pregnant! if i had been doing so well with my diet, what could make me stomach do that so soon? WHEAT! i am now going to take wheat out of my diet and see if it works- however the few days i have done it so far, i already see a diff.- so all of you out there with bloated stomachs i STRONGLY SUGGEST trying to take wheat out of your diet for a short period of time - to see if that may be the cause! i warn you though- wheat is in almost EVERYTHING! so good luck

Bloated.. use charcoal tablets

Postby seeoneomen » Wed Sep 26, 2007 9:19 am

About two months ago I started getting bloated all the time, for no apparent reason. My diet didnt change but I started getting indigestion more often. I did a little research into homeopathic remedies and found that out of everything Activated Charcoal Tablets helped the best. Just this morning I woke up completely bloated, took 2 charcoal tablets and within 10 minutes I was burping and my stomach has gone down significantly. Here is a link to a run down of Charcoal and its benefits.. http://www.netdoctor.co.uk/medicines/100004507.html
You can usually find charcoal tablets at a local health food store. Note that this is not the same charcoal that you use to bar-b-que.. Activated Charcoal is different, so dont crush up your big bag of charcoal and swallow. okay.. good luck.

I hope that it helps.

Bloated Stomach =S

Postby dsotm » Tue Oct 16, 2007 7:28 pm

Hey, my name's Anita, I'm 16, and I was wondering if anyone had any advice.

I'm about 5'3" and weigh around 9 stone. I have been sucking in my stomach for quite a while now [About...3 years?] so it's done more through habit. Because of that I'm not sure if my bloat is recent or not.

My stomach's quite odd, i have like a bump. It looks like I've relaxed my stomach over my jeans and the fat has seem to stay there or something. I also have a quite annoying bloat which is slightly [only slightly] uncomfortable when I stand.

My periods are not really dodgy, but they don't have a fixed date. There's not even a chance I could be pregnant and I don't have any bowl problems or anything.

So what's the problem? My weight's normal so I've been told bt my stomach feels firm when I poke it. It basically is a bloat.

Any ideas what's wrong??

Bloated Stomach

Postby tenerifebell » Mon Nov 05, 2007 7:50 pm

Try the Flat Stomach Diet to get rid of a bloated stomach. Its for people who are more or less the right weight but have a big swollen stomach. Even if you do hundreds of crunches etc a day your stomach won’t go flat if you suffer from bloating. Its a diet to reduce yeast which causes that blown up feeling in most people. Get it from ebay or www.flatstomachplan.com. There’s a full list of foods that contain yeast and its really easy to follow. It takes about 3-5 days to see results and it works!

Bloated Stomach

Postby Preeti » Thu Nov 15, 2007 1:46 pm

Try this -
Take a glass of warm water (make sure plain water). Add one lemon juice and a spoon of Pure honey(make sure the honey is pure as a lot of bands these days have some amt of suger in the honey)
Have this drink for a week every morning on an empty stomach.
I am quite sure your stomach will start to flatten out.
If u do this for a month you will never have a bloatted stomach.
