The Best Cruises for People Who Swear They'll Never Cruise

Postby Bettina Southey (FF Visitor) » Wed Mar 31, 2010 10:00 am

You can the read the full article at: http://www.femalefirst.co.uk/travel/The+Best+Cruises+for+People+Who+Swear+Theyll+Never+Cruise-862.html

After the tragic death of my husband of 24 years i decided to go on the cruise we had planned to go on for our 25th wedding anniversary. He had been involved in the cruise industry himself for over 10 years but we never managed a cruise when our kids were young.
I booked to go on NCL Norwegian Jewel as she sailed from Dover the port he had been involved with for all those years.Sailing out of Dover was a very emotional experience. We had a fantastic cruise but it was marred by the "friend" i took along at my expense. It turned out she was texting people telling them what a terrible time she was having. She has never spoken to me since. It has been very hurtful but i have learnt a very expensive lesson. I would recommend trying a cruise and not to be put off by the usual people telling you that you will feel "traped"

So Sorry to hear about your husband and your so called friend.

Its good to hear you had a good experience with NCL. I just got back from a cruise with Royal Caribbean (from Southampton) and had a brilliant time and can recommend cruising too !! Loved it !

You are never too old or too young to cruise :D
