Cranking Cars

Postby MargaretRyan » Tue May 04, 2010 1:54 pm

Hi Nathalie,

Rather than so many threads for the "cranking" subject here is a new topic as you suggested.

Here is a question I intended to ask yesterday but forgot. What is the most exciting car and starting experience you've enjoyed?

Hi Margaret,
Thanks for posting this new topic !
I hope a lot of women will join us to learn about or to talk about their own experience...
So all women who are interested in cranking cars, or who like hard starting cars, shaking gearsticks,...please talk about it !
Most exciting cranking for me is a really difficult question, hard to choose !
If I have to choose, I would say citroen 2cv, but there are a lot other cars.
I will tell about them later on.

Nathalie,

Speaking of gearsticks shaking mine was sure shaking this morning from side to side and the car was struggling to stay alive as I pumped to keep it going without any choke. Sometime you just hit it right and you get a real shaking.

I'm sure we will get a lot more conversation and experiences from other girls with only one thread to view.

Matt,
It's a thrill to have it struggling and skipping trying to start. Sometime I'm let down when it catches to quickly so I try to pump just enough to keep it skipping and trying to catch. Then sometime it a real turn-on to have it skipping and all of a sudden pull the choke out full and it roars to life. It the variety that excites me most about a car and its engine.

Hi Matt,
I don't like a car that starts all the time, certainly not from the first time !
I love older cars with manual choke, as they are mostly harder to start from cold or in wet conditions. For me it is the combination of the cranking sound, the spluttering engine, the shaking of the car, the shaking gearstick in some cars, the vibrations of the engine...all really exciting, it turn me on. I can not explain why
Do you have stories to share ? Nice to hear it from the male point of view.

Hi Nathalie,
I've had males tell me it's a turn on for them to struggle with cranking a car as well as watching girls getting turned on cranking. I think most people think its a girls thing only. Of course, all the video sites protray the female side and that attracts the males. When you get down to the real deal its a turn on for both. I would guess males are not as likely to admit the turn on but I don't have evidence either way. I just know it sure as fire excites me. Its nice to get a separate thread rather than having to comb all the other related threads. You can tell the proper guys like Gerald have all dropped off. We are all ready for a good story from your past when you have time. I so enjoy your writings.

Hi Margaret,
When I was about 19 years old, I had a friend and she had an old Renault 5. It was certainly 12 years old and she had a lot of trouble with it. At a certain moment she had a problem with the brakes. As she went away for 10 days, she asked me if I could get her car to a mecanic to fix it. So she left me her car for 10 days !! The first morning it was rather cold and damp :P I got in the car and put the key in the contact, there were a lot of lights on the dashbord. First tries without choke and without pumping : the engine was turning over, very exciting cranking sound... After 5 long cranks without any result, I pumped the pedal a few times and tried again while pumping from time to time, the engine turned over a bit faster each time I pumped the pedal. After a few times, it began spluttering but stalled again each time. As the battery was getting weaker, I pulled out the choke to start it before the battery would die. It was turning over faster and slower, very exciting, but it only spluttered. I got it going a few times for a few seconds, but it died again. In the end, the battery died with a very weak cranking sound. I had to put the charger on it and try again in the evenig...
Will be continued, Nathalie

@ nathalie and margaret, are you verbal when you crank your cars or are you silent because your concentrating.

the reason i ask is because ive seen many clips where a woman is begging and pleading and i do admit it gives me butterflies but ive never witnessed it myself.

Hello Nathalie, Margaret, Matt and others,

I too get excited by a car that is hard to start. I really enjoy it when I have to pump the gas pedal to get the car started. I get especially turned on when I am pump the gas pedal in my barefeet with my toes polished. I don't have a car with a choke so to make it hard to start I will flood the engine by pumping the gas over an over before I try to start it.

Do any of you like to start your car or drive it barefoot or in sandals or flip flops. If not what kind of footwear do you like?

Hi Jun,
Fine you joined us here !
Yes, I love to crank and drive barefoot, you can feel everything better...
Magaret, did you enjoy my first part of the Renault 5 ? More to come if you want.
You can find some good videos of renault and citroen cranking on Youtube and Megavideo : just search for citroen cranking or renault cranking. Then you can imagine how it is to start these cars.
I read in the other topic with Gerald that they are reading our topic, but no reactions from Tracy, Ruth, Helen ??? Where are they ? Please keep in contact ! Nathalie

Hi Nathalie,

I did enjoy the Renault story and look forward to many more from your experiences. After you got it started and to the garage did you get it back in time to play with it before the owners returned? If so, I bet you got the procedure down for making sure it cranked before battery was dead. I can take my Volvo to the edge but know when to clear the flood or put the choke on it to get it to catch in time.

As for Helen I was enjoying her input. I hope she stays with us. It seems Ruth fell in love from her last posts and is probably got other excitment go on and Tracy may have just gotten tired. She was on a lot as I read back through a lot of the past posts.

Anyway, Kelsey was over yesterday afternoon to ask if she could sit in my car and play with it. I had work at home but occasionally would hear my '66 roar to life and go look just in time to see a big cloub of smoke. She wants to go back out to the country this Saturday or Sunday and drive on my friends land. She did have a ball last Saturday. I'll have to see if I have time to take her out.

Will you have another car story tonight? I do love reading your lines. Getting on this thread has been so exciting and motivating.
