Hi Tara,

Good to hear from you i hope you are well.

Im glad you got a new battery. As much as i like the starting struggle, the dying battery kills it for me. its like my entertainment going out with a wimper.

A nice new battery means with the cold/damp weather the starting/cranking will be a lot more 'fiercer'(right word?) and the engine trying to catch more desperately..that really does it for me !!

You know that term 'wish i was a fly on the wall' - well haha, i wish i was...!

Dont you think me or us a bit strange for that ? (Do I need help??!!) :o(

hugs

Hi Robbie

My car was a complete nightmare this morning. I counted that it took me 19 tries before it would catch. Even when it did catch, I held my foot to the floor but the engine just wouldn't rev at all. So I eased off the accelerator a bit, then it stalled and I was back to cranking it again!! I was late for work today unsurprisingly!!!

Hi tara,

That sounds a decent session you had this morning! were u angry or enjoying it (besides the late for work bit)?

When you have trouble starting it, when it finally starts , are you one of these ladies who likes to revv it really hard, so that alot of smoke shoots out the exhaust or are you very patient and relaxed?!!

Does your husband/boyfriend get anything out fo it ? (if you have one ?!)

Hi Robbie & Phil

We have had a dusting of snow here, but it is COLD!!! I work as an accounts assistant in a small office in town, boring I know!!!

As for my revving style, well the car needs plenty of gas otherwise it will stall out on me. So in the morning I usually sit there with my foot on the floor for a while until it warms up. I'm quite lucky because I live on a quiet road and the only neighbour I have is usually away on business. And I live alone so no boyfriend/husband to speak of.

Best wishes

Hi Tara,

Sorry for dealy in reply. Rugby yesterday (not even a fan) football today, work tomorrow, it just goes on and on!!

Absoutely freezing down here in London, if your single, then I'll definitely, consider marrying you or indeed just courting you if only for your car starting skills !!

I have a 10 year old BMW which runs well, (fortunately/unfortunately?!!) and b4 thatI had a station car, an old Peugeot 205, which was not a great starter in cold weather but never a complete nightmare. Bit like yours sounds like it can be ?

For fun after work if it had been standing all day i would not use any choke, for the first 5-6 goes, or any gas at all, just to see if it could start on its own, and in the cold winter it use to struggle incredibly - which was interesting. Then I would spoil it and give it some choke, and it would start quite quickly.

I miss them days, modern cars have automatic starters, so no choke, dont even need much gas :o((

Where you about, in Lincolnshire? sounds like from posts , a small town /village type set up. Im sure theres a decent quality of life up there?

Enjoy the week ahead and happy starting games :o)))

Hi Phil & Robbie

Pleased to hear you had a good weekend. As for me well I didn't get up to much really but had a bit of a girly night in on Saturday which was fun!!!

It was very cold today and we had a good dusting of snow which made driving conditions pretty scary at times!!! Had a few starting problems this morning and again when I left work this evening. It was so cold I just wanted to get home!!!

If you are in London how did the tube strike affect you both??

Hugs

Tara xxxx
