This story could not have been told without Angelina. This film is and will always be about angelina. The fact that she took time from her busy life and financed this piece of art and is now promoting it in Europe and making sure that it is seen by being at premiers. The fact that she financed this film with her own money speaks volumns. Without her, no one would know what happened to Bosnian women during the war. The women are happy to have the truth out about what happened to them.
Where the f*ck are you and those you know from that it took angelina jolie telling you what happened through her "art" for you to know about the Bosnian war? This is just getting pathetic.
Was the Bosnian war discussed much at all, before Jolie got involved with making this movie? No! If war was the subject, it's Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya and all the fighting areas in the Middle East, etc. Not Bosnia, a war that happened in the 90s.
Jolie most certainly put it back on the map. Now it's discussed again. It's possible that there are people who knew very little or nothing about that war and are now interested because of Jolie's ITLOBAH.
I understand there have been other movies made about that war, showing the Serbs as the bad guys, but I've never heard or seen any discussion about those movies, probably because no big name was associated with them. Now that Jolie is involved, it's different, isn't it! Even the haters from FF can't stop talking about it.![]()
Why is it pathetic? If you're not interested, nobody is forcing you to talk about it.

Obama meets with anyone as long as they're famous, loon. Who the f*ck do you think you're fooling? And Jolie was there for that meeting aswell, so obivously they were limited in what they could talk about.
As for the cast allowed and encouraged to speak their own opinions - care to prove that? Where's the links to all those interviews of the cast talking about the film WITHOUT Jolie present? I mean, shouldn't be that hard for you to find since they are "encouraged" to do so, right?
And, loon, Hollywood is about MONEY. Someone who fails to bring in MONEY is not even close to being "royalty" of Hollywood.
So I'm guessing ANUSton and the Balding Oompa Loompa will NEVER get the priviledge of meeting with President Obama.

Posters are different. Die-hard, irrational haters are only interested in slamming Jolie and Pitt personally. I notice they have no/not much interest in anything else.
Jolie and ITLOBAH have definitely attracted more attention that the other movies about this war. Not every movie needs to be an Avatar or Titanic. I haven't seen the first, and don't plan to, and saw a bit of the second and didn't like it.

I wouldn't worry about the ignorant haters, who hang around here only, and ramble nonsense.

Thank you! I have never heard of these movies. "The Whistleblower" sounds familiar, but I didn't know it was about the war in the Balkans. A movie really has to be actively advertised and promoted, and if a big and popular name is associated with it, that's even better.

Guest wrote:The Whistle Blower stars Rachel Weisz and is based on a true story. I would highly recommend it. Be prepared to get very upset with a corrupt UN bureaucracy and its forces. Now this movie really deserved the humanitarian awards Jolie's ITLOBAH got.
