Er, I remember Enron just fine. If something trivial is dominating the news, always look at the bigger stories that are receiving less coverage. I have always done this. The only time the trivial matter moves up in importance is if it's being used to railroad something or someone.

As far as leg gate and the ring, multiple purposes is being served. Mostly it's positive press to flood the market so people think anything negative is related to one of the tired, overhyped stories and look no farther. But, a celebrities b.s. stories (particularly negative ones) can quickly be upgraded to cover up unrelated, but more important news... meaning real news that affects everyone rather than entertainment news.

It's really depressing the more you see how it all works.

Vaj, I think your timeline is off a bit. Enron collapsed after Bush became President. But you have a point about the plagiarism lawsuit. Braddock submitted his statement about why jurisdiction should remain in Illinois a couple of weeks ago, and the ho's statement is due to the court this week (Thursday?). The judge should rule shortly.

Well Vaj, I'm feeling that the public in general is thinking the same. Regarding "Yahoo!", I do see the steady pump out of "Brad and Angie engagement" press. But it could backfire on them.

Here is the article that came up when I clicked onto Yahoo. Notice the Poll to the right of the page. The question asks for your reaction to Brad and Angie's engagement. At the time I checked 84% voted "don't care less".

I don't think the deflection will work. It only serves to put her at the forefront of people's minds and the only difference it will make is that the court judgement will eventually be reported as "newly engaged Angelina Jolie lost the plagiarism suit...." It's going to be big news and they won't be able to hide it.

Well ,we HOPE it will be "big news"...if the hag is still working for the See eye Eh they may order the media to 'downplay' the matter; it's all happening on "Agency' turf (i.e the conteinental USA) after all!

It will be innterressting to see where it goes; I am keeping an eye on what happens with it because it will be a sort of 'window" into what, (if any) "status" Jolie still carries with the See Eye Eh! If "they" have decided to 'cut her loose" then they may simply 'throw her to the wolves". If she was still 'in" with them, then she wouldn't have had to stage this 'distraction"; "they" would simply order the media to "look the other way, or else..." like they were doing there for quite a while, (back when she wasn't looking like as much of a JUNKIE...I guess that's the DOWN SIDE of employing ADDICTS in the illicit drug trade!)
