She's been in the field for more than ten years, and she is a world-famous actress with easy access to the media.
These facts make her worth more than a regular person who has studied in that specific area but has never been in the field, who is an unknown with no (easy) access to the media. Add to this the fact that Jolie has been a GA for so long means that she knows plenty now too.
She's famous, yes, but in a negative way. People despise her.
As to EXPERIENCE 'in the field'. What does it mean?
Staying in a 5 star hotel in a third World country for two days maximum 2-3 times per annum? Pretending to talk to refugees (10-15 minutes maximum) when she clearly doesn't speak their language? These are photo-ops, nothing more. Approximately 5-7 hours of 'real' contact in a war torn country each year maximum, makes 50-70 hours in ten years, hence ONE WEEK working experience total. This is anything but experience, this is NOTHING. And she knows nothing which becomes very obvious when she opens her big mouth and babbles.
