Took a year to design but no wedding date

So they want the public to believe that it took him a year to design the ring but they have not set a wedding date or planned any details of the wedding...it does not make sense...it took a year to design but you are calling it a promise ring and not an engagement ring....it took a year to design so you would have a full year to think about what you wanted the ring for and the purpose it would serve....it took a year to design but it's not an engagement but a promise for the future...all of this should have been going through Brad's mind while he was designing this ring for the past year and the best he could come up with was a promise for the future....makes no sense at all...
