Looking back now, Sherry Hollingsworth says she did notice something unusual in Billy Bob Thornton's behavior when the two longtime friends had dinner in Little Rock in May. "Billy's always the happy-go-lucky type," says Hollingsworth, 47, an elementary school principal. "That little spark wasn't there. I kept thinking he's tired or doesn't feel well."Still, Thornton, 47, put on a good show, trotting out photos of wife Angelina Jolie and their infant son Maddox, whose adoption they had announced just two months earlier. One showed the happy trio lounging on a bed. It was, says Hollingsworth, "just, you know, a simple family moment."

Things have just gotten a lot more complicated. On July 17, just two months past their second wedding anniversary, Jolie, 27, filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. "My daughter is very sad," says her mother, former actress Marcheline Bertrand, 52. "It's a really tough time for her." Thornton sounded a similar note in his brief public statement: "It is a sad thing." For Jolie, this is a second divorce, for Thornton his fifth; three of his prior marriages, like this one, lasted just two years.

Jolie was indeed self admitted to the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Unit. She reported that she wanted to be admitted before she "hurt my self or someone else." I do believe the presumptive diagnosis was Borderline Personality disorder. Jolie has spoken of this many times, proudly in fact. How did her true fans miss that? Oh, yeah, it was before Brad so that is all wiped out like a reverse Total Recall.

The issue for many Antis IS NOT THAT Angelina may or may not have bedded Pitt when he was married, no one likes that but that is NOT what caused the backlash. It was the manufactured spin she pimped to make Aniston look bad and make herself look like a superior human being. Fortunately (aside from The Loons whose brains are dead from eating way too much potted meat) something about screwing someone over and then planting BS about them so you don't look bad makes many of us sick. Jolie was not even content with do that; she had to make herself appear like the most evolved human on the planet. Then there was the W Magazine spread that said "Brad and Angelina". Nice humanitarian work there. I also did not see Laura Dern trying to spin in order to make herself look good at the expense of someone else. That, in a nutshell, is the difference for me.
