Richard has spoken about his experience of being unpopular in school.
An after-dinner discussion about different types of school led on to the topic of bullying and school experiences, prompting the Canadian to talk about his time in middle school.
The 38-year-old told the assembled housemates: "I was geeky...the only friends I had were ones who spoke English as a second language, these Vietnamese boys."
However, Richard also spoke of how his level of popularity changed when he moved schools. "When I went to high school it was like flip reverse, and I went from unpopular to popular," he said.
"What it taught me when I got to high school when I finally grew and became popular was always look out for the kids who were being bullied", the waiter added.
Going on to talk about the greater mix of people, he exclaimed: "It was absolutely brilliant, it was the best high school."
