Drug overdose

Postby Guest » Tue Jul 22, 2008 9:33 pm

Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if there is anyone out there that can help me?
On Sunday afternoon I got a phone call to say my friend had taken an overdose on Saturday night... She took 15 valleys, a bag of herion and 30ml of methadon.
When she was found at 10am she was blue and was foaming at the mouth... No-one knows how long her brain has been starved of oxygen.
She is now in hospital on a ventilator but is breathing a bit herself and she is still sudated just now.
What are the chances of her waking up? Also is she wakes up... What damage could be done?

Any info would be greatfully appreciated...
Thank-you

I hope your friend is okay. My uncle died of an OD in 2002. If she wakes up she could have a lot of problems, they told us if my uncle woke up he might have had to learn how to talk, eat, walk, all over again if he even could.
