Liberal American politicians trying to intimidate and drive out businesses like Chick-fil-A just because they don't like the owner's political views is downright bad and shows them up for what they are. They are as bad as o'bumma.

And the gays and lesbians have behaved without good taste or class.

More lies from o'bumma. This time falsely accusing Romney of killing a woman  :

I read it correctly the first time. It's just difficult to comment on FF about any subject that remotely relates to a religion. It's not a two way street for either side of the coin. But, to be real on this one, the 'thumping' Right sickens me the most on this issue. "The Bible says"... well, it says many things and cherry picking from it doesn't do it for me. Furthermore (bet you never thought I'd say this), FOX sure has a way of making a mountain out of a molehill. They are not helping the cause. Just saying, Hot Tea! :P

o'bumma is now the prohibitive favourite to win re-election, as Romney picked Paul Ryan for VP. Americans as a whole aren't very bright. They don't want to hear that entitlements need to be cut and the deficit needs to be lowered. :(

Sweet Tea, the big city mayors wanting to put Chick-fil-A out of business just because they don't like the owner's political views is scary, scary, scary. The next time I pass by a Chick-fil-A restaurant, I'm going to eat there.

What is far worse is when o'bumma said he had visited all 57 states in America. There are only 50 states in the US.

The specific number of states normally wouldn't matter, except that there are 57 Islamic states in the world. Google it. o'bumma's gaffe is likely a Freudian slip and likely shows where his heart really lies.

_____________________________________

Medicare will be dead and bankrupt under obama, and he refuses to reform it because it would hurt him politically. Doctors already are refusing to take medicare and the problem will only get worse. In addition, obama cut medicare funding by $500 billion to help pay for obamacare, and set up the 'years of remaing useful life' concept to ration healthcare.

Medicare, even more than the national debt, is our number one problem in our country. See Pete Peterson and David Walker's USA Fiscal Tour and educational efforts. The underfunded projections for medicare are literally in the tens of trillions of dollars, because the premiums collected fall far short of the promised, but fiscally unsustainable, level of benefits.

If I was a senior, I would be overjoyed at the Ryan proposal. It keeps everyone over 65 intact, while reforming a bankrupt program so that it has a chance to be there for them. Under obama, the program will go bankrupt and medicare will not be there for anyone.

If I was young or below 55, I'd be very happy that someone is trying to save the medicare system or offer an alternative, rather than letting me pay into a system that will be bankrupt long before I ever get to use it.

-------------------

I saw this and thought I'd share it with you:

"It is offensive to me as a mother, a nurse, a volunteer, and a generous contributor to many charities, that because i believe in some kind of fiscal sanity that I am a “dangerous right-wing radical”. Paul Ryan is trying to SAVE Medicare and Social Security because if it continues as it has been, it will bankrupt very soon, just like towns are bankrupt, states are bankrupt, and the nation is bankrupt. THERE IS NO MORE MONEY LEFT. WE DO NOT HAVE A REVENUE PROBLEM- WE HAVE AN OUT-OF-CONTROL SPENDING PROBLEM. This is basic reality that those on the left just do not want to face. And if you oppose them, then you are demonized as an evil, hateful rich person. Well I am not hateful and I am not rich. But I’ve had it with Obama’s arrogance and his broken promises, and his attempts to buy off unions, the poor and even women with free birth control with money that is NOT HIS TO SPEND. Romney/Ryan will carry the election, and our nation can start to heal."

NOW, THE TRUTH COMES OUT about why the Republican Machine want Romney (and why Ryan is the VP nom):
He'll make a good shill (rubber stamp) for Republican Congressional programs, and the Ryan Budget. You can kiss Social Security goodbye.
Grover Norquist at the Defending the American Dream Summit in Washington, sponsored by Americans for Prosperity:
All we have to do is replace Obama. ... We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don't need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget. ... We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don't need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate.
The requirement for president?
Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States. This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared.

And then THIS astute observation:
This is not a very complimentary assessment of Romney's leadership. It's also not a very realistic political program: congressional Republicans have a disapproval rating of about 75%. If Americans get the idea that a vote for Romney is a vote for the Ryan plan, Romney is more or less doomed.

-------------------------------------
And then there's this: Ed Kilgore Faces Facts about Welfare Reform
-------------------------------------
In light of the last two political posts, let me postulate what these bastards REALLY have in mind:
"Stat-ize" all welfare programs--including Medicare and Social Security, with incentives to the States to cut off all, or most, recipients. When starvation causes them to experience "ultimate freedom" (nothing left to lose), and they start revolting violently, call in the military--probably the UN, using troops and tanks already stockpiled in the major cities across the nation--and put the survivors in the at least 70 DHS interment camps already built and manned with skeleton crews at the moment, and put them to work in the "alive and thriving" Prison-Slave-Workforce Gulag.

Welfare problem solved. Civilian gun problem solved. Middle Class (what's left of it, anyway) cowed. Win-Win-Win!
-----------------------------
Refute it, if you can. I dare you!

Erskin heaps effussive praise on Paul Ryan and his intelligence, while trashing o'bumma - who had his budget turned down 97-0. See the video:

From Gerald Celente Trend Alert:
Predicted in Summer 2011 Trends Journal:
Paul Ryan Pick Political Suicide

KINGSTON, NY 14 August 2012 — One year ago, in the Summer 2011 Trends Journal, we focused on the 2012 Presidential election. At that time, we analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of both President Obama and the cast of Republican challengers.

Trends Journal subscribers were provided with yet another vivid, important insight into “History Before it Happens” as we spelled out, in great detail, why the Republicans were on a political suicide mission and singled out Paul Ryan as the chief suicide strategist. Even though he was not in the running, we devoted an entire story to his policies, his credentials (or lack of them) and the consequences the GOP would suffer by adopting his policies.

Thus, a year before the media was looking closely into Ryan’s past and his qualifications for designing a massive budget deficit reduction plan, we had singled him out as THE politician whose views and values best represented a Republican platform that led us to forecast an Obama victory in October.

In that Trends Journal we wrote:

Not Playing with a Full Deck In the Spring of 2011 Republican hopefuls were on a political suicide mission. Yes, entitlement excesses had to be addressed, but making that the main focus of their campaigns was a strategy that might have been devised by insidious Democratic infiltrators … .

The Republican final solution was to reduce and/or eliminate “entitlements” – a word that had taken on a pejorative meaning. How dare people who had worked all their lives, acted responsibly and paid their taxes, feel entitled to anything from their government? Health care, elder care … Republicans were running on a “we don’t care” platform. And, if they got their way, any care the people did receive would be less than what they got before and would come from the private sector; the health industry that gives generous campaign contributions (i.e., bribes and payoffs) to politicians for passing legislation that will further enrich them.

Another main Republican plank was the reform of Social Security. Under a complex partial privatization plan crafted by Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan (Roadmap For America’s Future), Social Security and Medicare benefits would be cut, cost-of-living increases trimmed, and the retirement age for those under 55 would be “modernized” to eventually reach 70. At the same time, the Social Security agency itself would be significantly downsized to a level of predictable inefficiency.

The end result of their “Roadmap” would be to steer as much tax money as possible away from the public sector and into the private sector. It was passionately held GOP Gospel that corporations operated more efficiently than government bureaucracy.

The third major plank of the Republican platform called not only keep in place the Bush-initiated and Obama-perpetuated tax policy that gave breaks to the richest, but under the Ryan plan, to further lower the top tax rate from 36 percent to 25 percent. Incredible as it may sound, the GOP genuinely believed that the more the very rich made and the less they paid, the better off everyone else would be.

The Republican platform boiled down to: “What can we do to make the biggest bigger and the richest richer?” Not surprisingly, for the small percentilethat stood to benefit, the Republican platform was attractive.

Because this guy was a comedian, he got away with telling the truth.
Unfortunately, because he was a comedian, nobody paid any attention to what he said.
The more is the Pity. And what he said here applies equally well to Britain and the rest of Europe--pretty much everywhere else as well.

I've not heard of George Carlin before, but that clip is spot on and yes it does apply to Britain too. Increasingly the world is run by a few giant multinational corporations and elections become more and more irrelevant. In the UK Labour was once different from the Conservatives and was the party of ordinary working people. Now it's every bit as much in the pockets of big business as the Tories are. It's a trick the big players have learned from the US, sponsor both main parties then it doesn't matter who wins the election they owe you.

Everyone splutters about the dreadful things the banks have done and politicians make a great play of how they are going to do something about it, but they don't. The obscene bonuses for the elite at the top continue to roll in even as people all around are losing their jobs and homes, plus the banks are still stifling the economy by refusing to lend to smaller businesses.

For many years I had heard the name Lenny Bruce. All I knew was that he was a comedian who was arrested a lot. A few weeks ago, an old movie from the 1970's was on late night TV. Dustin Hoffman portrayed Lenny Bruce in the bio type film. OMG... If anyone cares to look for the film or read about Bruce, do so. He made way for "obscene" words. Bruce died at age 40. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenny_Bruce

Much of the reason we laugh is due to the truth behind the joke.

I often wonder what the American founding fathers would think if they could see us/US now. :?
