Ben, He made his own coke use public in his book about the father. Don't you remember Lena and I arguing about it? I mean, he didn't try to cover up anything and he did say that he had to get help for his abundant use. No one really had to snort coke in the 80's. It just sorta found its way up the nose.

As for pot smoking, I don't think I could trust someone who told me they'd never smoked it. I would think they were lying.

The US economy is forecast to rise by 2.4% this year and 2.6% next year. Someone is getting it wrong and the figures suggest it isn't Obama.

Dan, that is a "forecast", not the reality, yet. Only the future will tell what went wrong.

It looks like UK growth is even worse than predicted, with first-quarter growth now estimated to be -0.3%.

I saw this and am passing it on:

WILL THE USA SURVIVE?

The folks who are getting the free stuff, don't like the folks who are paying for the free stuff, because the folks who are paying for the free stuff can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff.

The folks who are paying for the free stuff want the free stuff to stop, and the folks who are getting the free stuff want even more free stuff on top of the free stuff they are already getting!

Now... The people who are forcing the people who pay for the free stuff have told the people who are RECEIVING the free stuff, that the people who are PAYING for the free stuff, are being mean, prejudiced, and racist.

So... The people who are GETTING the free stuff have been convinced they need to hate the people who are paying for the free stuff by the people who are forcing some people to pay for their free stuff, and giving them the free stuff in the first place.

We have let the free stuff giving go on for so long that there are now more people getting free stuff than paying for the free stuff.

Now understand this. All great democracies have committed financial suicide somewhere between 200 and 250 years after being founded. The reason? The voters figured out they could vote themselves money from the treasury by electing people who promised to give them money from the treasury in exchange for electing them.

The United States officially became a Republic in 1776, 235 years ago. The number of people now getting free stuff outnumbers the people paying for the free stuff. We have one chance to change that. In 2012. Failure to change that spells the end of the United States as we know it.

ELECTION 2012 IS COMING
A Nation of Sheep Breeds a Government of Wolves!

I'M 100% for PASSING THIS ON!!!

Let's take a stand!!!
Obama: Gone!
Borders: Closed!
Language: English only Culture: Constitution, and the Bill of Rights!
Drug Free: Mandatory Drug Screening before Welfare!
NO freebies to: Non-Citizens!
End of Political Correctness.
Are we the people going to do anything?

Only 86% will send this on. Should be 100%. What will you do?

"The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money". -- Margaret Thatcher

Ben, Perhaps we should bring back the old fashioned Social Worker. By that I mean, more than just paper and numbers. There is really no accountability anymore or fact checking when it comes to living off the government. We should be ridding fraud in benefits. And, from the appearance of things, it's not just the lower incomes. Weiner getting $Millions for the rest of his life should be a crime that we need to take issue with... as well as others in positions as such. I find it an otter disgrace that he gets a free ride for the rest of his life and he's not the only one.

I find it deliciously ironic, other than our fellow American, all those who tried to get this tread locked, where eventually lock out of FF.

The changes to the board have lowered the entertainment value for me. I don't come here very much anymore.

The adversaries that have been eventually locked out provided the foil to create arguments against. So it is now quite often the sound of one hand clapping--kind of the disappointing answer to the Hippies' oft-asked question (during the Viet Nam War era) "What if they gave a war and nobody came?"

Good to see you AZ!!!!! Good to see you as well, jaxxx.

Yep, without opposing opinions, it does get boring.

jaxxx, are you referring to the disappearance of sex topics that many have posted their disapproval of? I have no insight into the plans of FF, but perhaps they are in the process of making the forum for the better. I can't imagine having a toy and lingerie store on FF without having a sexual topics thread.

Hi Sweet Tea! :P

You're right. All the people who launched repeated personal attacks here over a period of years, except one who is taking a temporary break, have been locked out and permanently banned. They still lurk though.

Here's one for ya: What is up with Bill Clinton? He said Romney is qualified to be president, said o'bumma shouldn't attack Bain Capital and private equity, and criticized o'bumma's tax and spend mantra.

Does Clinton want o'bumma to lose, since the latter played the race card against his wife in 2008? Does Clinton disagree with the socialist economics o'bumma exposes to? Is Clinton trying to contrast his and his wife's views from that of o'bumma, to set Hillary up for a 2016 run?

Cory Booker distanced himself from o'bumma too.

Willie, are you going to help campaign for Romney? There is so much at stake in this election, the most important election in our lifetimes - basically America's whole way of life is at stake - that I wonder whether we all shouldn't be helping Romney out. If you don't like socialism or Marxian economics, then we should all be hitting the ground for Romney.

That's what I'm worried about, "our way of life". I'm not sure which way the wind will blow me on this election. Supporting Rommey would make me eat my words that I've written in this thread regarding Obama when he ran for office. If both, or we, are dedicated Red, White and Blue loving Americans, why don't they (we) just work together for our greater good.

Hot Tea, list what is at "stake" in this election, please, for me. I'm being genuine. I really want to know because I'm confused. We are divided in my home about it. I think the whole taxation issue needs repair.
