This is not the first time I've seen this.

I hate those commercials as well and I want to throw something at the TV everytime I see it!!!

I don't think they have any remote clue about the excruciating pain of periods. They have no idea that the wall of the womb is breaking away every month and causes stomach cramps and severe headaches, stupid dumb fu*ks.

they must either be very brave or very stupid... to belittle a woman on her cycle is like prompting a terrorist with a grenade in his hand to go for it... it's just not done in your higher iq brackets...

walk on rice paper if you must... be attentive and unseen if you must, be yourself away from home if you must... but never poke sticks at a bear with a toothache unless you're certain the cage is bolted first...

not trying to outdo the menstrual cycle in any manner... but try being part of the gender that scares babies and confuses children simply by removing a shirt in public... can't urinate without getting it on their hands and in their pants a bit...

men are so stupid the church explained this natural thing as original sin... this from a being that makes the common cold as dire as the plague when they have one... i bet a man created this ad you hate so much... because unless a woman has had a fulkl radical hysterectomy, she is well aware of how degrading and irritating tripe like this would be.
i am trying to see your point of view.. but i can't seem to get my head that far up my ass

Have you tried a remedy called Sepia? It tends to have great results in eliminating period pains.

I think I can say confidently it is pretty insulting to men too. Playing down the sitt we put up with every 28 days is really insulting!

The advert ought to be her screaming out, "BLOODY HELL!", as she flings a vase against the wall, smashing it into hundreds of flying bits... And she pulls a box of whatzits from a shopping bag, and stomps to the loo.. and comes out a little relieved...

What's with those goonies and their GD blood ads..? I'm sitting here at the table at 8:PM, cutting into a medium rare steak, and the sci-fi show is interrupted with an advert about feminine hygiene pads and stuff-em rollies.. and some babe dancing a thousand feet off the ground in tight white slacks, pretending she's in heaven cuz now she ain't got any bloody worries...
Those advertising companies and networks are taking advertising way way too far!.. Not a problem though.. we can change channels at the touch of a button.. and they can just go to hell with their stupid adverts... They turn us off, we turn them off...

I came across this article several months ago and have no idea if it's true but I nearly peed myself laughing as it is very well written. It's worth a read.

This is an actual letter from an Austin woman, sent to American company Proctor and Gamble regarding their feminine products. She really gets rolling after the first paragraph... This letter was named PC Magazine's 2007 editors' choice for best webmail-award-winning letter....

Dear Mr. Thatcher, I have been a loyal user of your 'Always' maxi pads for over 20 years and I appreciate many of their features. Why, without the Leak Guard Core or Dri-Weave absorbency, I'd probably never go horseback riding or salsa dancing, and I'd certainly steer clear of running up and down the beach in tight, white shorts. But my favorite feature has to be your revolutionary Flexi-Wings. Kudos on being the only company smart enough to realize how crucial it is that maxi pads be aerodynamic. I can't tell you how safe and secure I feel each month knowing there's a little F-16 in my pants.

Have you ever had a menstrual period, Mr. Thatcher? Ever suffered from the "curse"? I'm guessing you haven't. Well, my time of the month is starting right now. As I type, I can already feel hormonal forces violently surging through my body. Just a few minutes from now, my body will adjust and I'll be transformed into what my husband likes to call "an inbred hillbilly with knife skills". Isn't the human body amazing?

As Brand Manager in the Feminine-Hygiene Division, you've no doubt seen quite a bit of research on what exactly happens during your customers monthly visits from 'Aunt Flo'.. Therefore, you must know about the bloating, puffiness, and cramping we endure, and about our intense mood swings, crying jags, and out-of-control behavior. You surely realize it's a tough time for most women. In fact, only last week, my friend Jennifer fought the violent urge to shove her boyfriend's testicles into a George Foreman Grill just because he told her he thought Grey's Anatomy was written by drunken chimps. Crazy!

The point is, sir, you of all people must realize that America is just crawling with homicidal maniacs in Capri pants... Which brings me to the reason for my letter. Last month, while in the throes of cramping so painful I wanted to reach inside my body and yank out my uterus, I opened an Always maxi-pad, and there, printed on the adhesive backing, were these words: 'Have a Happy Period.'

Are you f*cking kidding me? What I mean is, does any part of your tiny middle-manager brain really think happiness -- actual smiling, laughing, happiness is possible during a menstrual period? Did anything mentioned above sound the least bit pleasurable? Well, did it, James? FYI, unless you're some kind of sick S&M freak girl, there will never be anything 'happy' about a day in which you have to jack yourself up on Motrin and Kahlua and lock yourself in your house just so you don't march down to the local Walgreen's armed with a hunting rifle and a sketchy plan to end your life in a blaze of glory.

For the love of God, pull your head out, man! If you just have to slap a moronic message on a maxi pad, wouldn't it make more sense to say something that's actually pertinent, like 'Put down the Hammer' or 'Vehicular Manslaughter is Wrong', or are you just picking on us?

Sir, please inform your Accounting Department that, effective immediately, there will be an $8 drop in monthly profits, for I have chosen to take my maxi-pad business elsewhere. And though I will certainly miss your Flexi-Wings, I will not for one minute miss your brand of condescending bullsh*t. And that's a promise I will keep. Always....

Best, Wendi Aarons Austin , TX

The ladies I knew who didn't have any discomfort from their weeklies, ate supplemental amino acids... Biotin, Triptophan, L-arginine, Methionine, Cystine, Tyrosine, and such... They never lose their metabolic balance those weeks, so they never have any of the discomforts and sorrows, only unhealthy people do...

These days processed food is void of all the necessary life sustaining amino acids.. and these days most people don't believe in vitamins and supplements.. People think that a full stomach is all it takes to eat healthy... People think and claim, "Vitamins are for druggie health-nuts, druggie hippy-freaks, and druggie flower-children... The people who don't suffer are the people who understand about vitamins and nutrients, and healthy diet and living...

I think I can see what they were trying to say, but they must have found the worst possible way of saying it - I mean, have you ever met a woman who has had a "happy" period? Unless of course it's her last one I suppose.................
