A friend work landed in London at noon ........

Took the subway to the end of the line

Then hitchhiked to Dover.

Got a boat to Belgium

Then a train to Paris arriving at noon .

Moi is frothing at the mouth with jealousy .

It's possible to do things like that, though the hitch-hiking is a bit hit & miss.

For a meeting I went to Holland for a day or so last year then back home. I have relatives in the south of England that commute to France for business...

My brother's partner has just had a dose of blunt reality and heard the word "no" which obviously she never heard as a child.

It's come as a bit of a shock to the grasping old whinger. Unlike the rest of our family who are a bit of a soft touch she's forgotten I have zero time for people that don't do what they say and I don't need to run about after her like she makes my parents do under the threat of "not seeing their grand-daughter".

A woman down the road has obviously got involved with some rough acting numbnut, alas she has let him loose outside unsupervised and he's got the arse that my car is in front of "his" house and is spoiling the view or something (as much as I understood from the tantrum he just bellowed across the street like a spoilt child).

The road outside his house appears to be the public highway and unlike the collection of old bangers he is gradually collecting on his driveway my car is fully taxed, the stupid w***** can F*** right off back to the cave he must have escaped from. He can see there's a F****** great skip on my drive so I've not much choice until they collect it.
