I could add some hot outdoor jiggy action news and tit pics I suppose.

That wouldn't be half as interesting as news of my chicks with waffle about work and garden though...

I would waffle extensively about work and garden but really F*** all happened of interest in either today plus I have eight mins battery left on this netbook and I don't want to use it all on here.

In fact the only amusement of the day is the fact my purple basil has finally put in an appearance... purple basil in itself is not amusing but it is called Crimson King so actually I have prog rock herbs growing in the kitchen, how ace is that... :D

Chicken news... I can tickle their chins without getting some cheeping aggro now after some intensive lurking with them in the chicken palace box. The Baron wishes to have them running about in the living room occasionally "to get them used to things" but as it's quite a big room and there's too many nooks & crannies for them to disappear into I won't bother yet. Plus they will poo on the carpet. :hand:

Image

Pic of wistful chick, contemplating doing a bit of flying... how everyone will enjoy looking at dozens of these types of things by the time I'm finished.
Not.

I am this weekend taking delivery of a five foot fishtank and cabinet complete with kit for marine fish. I'm not fancying the marine route tbh and I don't want to get rid of the tank I have in the living room, but it's a swap for some furniture and a pic of a futuristic lady doing stuff with spears & that... these sorts of pics are fairly popular.
I'm not sure what to put in there yet, it'll go in one corner of the dining room so it won't take up much space... there is room however for an Oscar fish or two in there...

Hmmm...

Re: NOTA'S Sleep Thread

I like to lurk here sometimes because it makes wandering off to sites with more activity and mad people much more amusing. That time everyone else spends gawping at the gogglebox I have to spare.

So, today in my ongoing hobby that was mostly enjoyable last year I met up with this month's interweb person. Second one from G+ this time and I had a feeling it would be a laugh. Mainly because we share a liking for looking for storms, you have to be a bit mad for that... so, enjoyable time was had and we're going to form a bit of a local network to keep an eye on storm activity to turn up in the right locations for lightning spotting... I already know a few people that want to be a part of that. All good stuff. 8)

Visit from the Q-entities this afternoon to see the cheeky chicks and I got a funny photo of Bellina chick on MinorQ's shoulder like a pirate parrot. :costumed1:

There's a whole load of loft insulation in the summerhouse atm... I *cough* acquired it when we moved factories a few years ago. This house has a loft totally full of fluff so I don't want it but I do want some more room. I shall swap it for something more useful I think... someone's bound to want a couple of packs given that utility prices will be so high next winter that people will be dressing like polar explorers just to venture upstairs.

Oh happy woodburner, oh happy free fuel lying about in hedgerows waiting for me to leap out of a precariously parked mirthmobile in order to liberate said logs to my woodshed.
A hugemongous gas bill would be safer sometimes I feel...

Re: NOTA'S Sleep Thread

As I was in danger of suffering another replay of today's feetball commotion I've been hiding in the bath & perusing people's happy sunny weekend pics of various activities.
A jolly fine weekend it was too.
Can't be arsed writing it all out here as it would make this site almost 0.1% more exciting than it already is.

My hugemongous fishtank arrived and it looks somehow smaller now... maybe because the mate I was swapping that with had it in a little room where his band and him dick about making a lot of noise/tunes. The fish which came with the deal are-

3 female mollies (not like Molly the dog)
1 guppy
1 red tail black shark (juvenile)
5 panchax of unknown type (possibly golden)
breeding pair kribensis

Now, in my other tank I've accommodated the killifish (panchax) as they just hang around the top of the tank doing not a lot... and the kribs as they are nearly like the convict cichlids in habits and they are one of my fave fish.
The kribs have already dug themselves a cave and are herding everyone else away. My house will be chock full of babies at this rate, though unless I give them a spare tank a lot will end up being scoffed.
Also with it was a lot of kit for the marine fish it used to house... swapped that on already.

Junior Q has expressed an interest in the RTB shark which will fit in the tank he has (heh, the one Q bought from that nice fish shop last year... I made a hasty exit at the time in case I laughed  ) though I have explained it isn't actually a real shark.

My niece can have the mollies. Lone guppy, well I don't know really... maybe I'll find someone at work.

Chicken news... they went outside for a couple of hours today. At first they stood there looking a bit shocked but after twenty minutes every ant within their pen had been eaten. 8)

I'm waiting on a bluetooth dongle thingy as my phone refuses to connect to any PC as the cable bit is wobbly (it leads an eventful life my phone). My dad is giving me e-mail grief wanting pics of me/Baron/garden/pond/dog/chicks/house... he even mentioned the northern flouncer. :o
He's of the age I think where he doesn't want to miss anything... a feeling I also know only too well...

My bluetooth data transfer adventures have come to an end and I nearly regret the day I bought a phone with 12Mp camera & 16GB memory and then put an additional memory card in there too. How many pics can one squirrel away on it... F****** loads is the answer.

Still, the old thing still works fine... shame really as I have no excuse to buy a new phone. That's always a tense time as it's cash money I part with for one which makes it a much more considered process.

It is in fact time for kipping... much as I would like to be causing chaos on a twenty four hour/seven day week basis even us quantum beings have to have a break. The world can relax now... 8)

To get the book "My Inventions: The Autobiography of Nikola Telsa"
When Richard Branson does a live hangout loads of hardened geeks and grumpy ex-employees turn up.
#PencilTuesday... my attempt at one of those pointless days flops miserably, mind I was up against #ToiletTuesday.
Grape Nuts... something to do with cake. :?
The Dalai Lama is still not following me.

Heh, I have just started two new conspiracies involving buttons and started a short history of how the squeaky hinge was invented. Ahh, fun times...

And naturally, there is chicken news.
DogOfNOTA got her first proper look at them this afternoon. I popped 'em in a bucket for safe keeping while I cleaned out their woodshavings and as they were on the floor behind Molly's "den" cage she could go in there to look out of the back right at them. The dog looked eager to play, the chicks looked in no mood to be hauled about by a teenage labradoodle.

Maybe when they're bigger she'll think twice about wondering if they are mobile fluffy toys.

Now, as it's about as lively as a snail after a salt eating contest here and I have twenty seven mins of battery to use up I shall wander off to where one can have cheeky banter and a chortle or two... :D

Toodle pip.

102 soon I believe?? :P

Fear not Soxy, you can kip any old time happy in the knowledge that someone out there is being amusing at any one time.
The ongoing mission to find all the fun people in the (big) world continues as always... 8)

Except now of course... chaos is at an end, the universe relaxes with some tea and starts rootling about in the cosmic biscuit tin for a digestive and I wander off to kip.

Last text... very rude.

So, as I see this one has lost it's mojo again I shall waffle here for a mo and then wander back to livelier interwebs to amuse the peeps while I get out the bath. :P

It was a crap weekend... not crap in that my house burnt down, all my pets vanished, my mates turned into wingnuts and I found myself with a bloke with all the personality of a toad with a tiny knob... but crappy weather.
It's F****** cold, my plants are not impressed with this global "warming" bollox at all.
In fact the only three things that look happy are A- rhubarb, from deepest Siberia so no wonder B- raspberry bush, happy growing in Scotland C- Strawberries, also must like being cold and wet.

On a happier note the baby chicks are three weeks old now and have appeared on-line more times than I can remember... live webchickchats are very popular. Cojiro in particular will happily chirp away perched on my shoulder... she is a poop machine and produces immense amounts of crap. A bit like some chaps I know in fact...

Anyway, all this chicken stuff has somehow got me to agree to visit an on-line chum at an agricultural show in a month or so. All good stuff... my amusing mission to have all on-line peeps I like as real chums grows ever more busy, sometimes I reckon it would be easier to watch trains for a hobby though.
