Wearing Statement Jewellery

Postby sabrina10 » Tue Oct 25, 2011 12:46 pm

Theres doesnt seem to be a topic on Jewellery so I thought I would start one.

After watching the X factor the last few weeks I have noticed how Statement Jewellery is being worn lots by Amelia Lily, Sami, Tulisa, Kelly etc. Amelia had a lovely Spider ring on and also a double finger cross, Sami had a cool cuff finger type ring which was also nice.

What is your favourite types of Rings, Bracelets and Necklaces etc?

I tend to go for big rings, my favourite at the moment is a gorgeous Burnt Gold Elephant ring, If I knew how to post a picture I would! but its lovely and its my favourite piece at the moment. :D

Thanks for the info Jessie!

I had a look at the drop dead site they have some nice things, although prices are in euros for some reason. I get my rings from yourfashionjewellery.co.uk they are fab! so many to choose from, pretty sure they had many of the poparazzi earrings you mentioned as well.

They still have my elephant ring on there :D (thought it was out of stock!)

Jewellery is such an important part of my wardrobe, cant have too mnay rings! :)

I always just buy jewellery from Primark
3 quid for a ring, makes my fingers green, but oh welll! They look good!!

I make my own rings with brooches I find from flea markets, bit of superglue on a plain band et voilla!

My favourites are animal themed statement rings. I also like multi-layer wodden bracelets and bead necklaces. I am a child of the nature, and my favourite ring is with frog on it, you can check it out here if you want :) http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/254/frogg.jpg/ I've got it from www.gembid.co.uk

That sounds like a brilliant idea! You could probably sell a few of those on ebay!

I usually get mine from ebay.. sometimes you pick up a bargain, sometimes you get stung but its all fun in the end.

One that I use is chunky junkie. They started out on ebay, got their own site now though. http://chunkyjunkie.com

I personally love statement rings.
There is a gorgeous, over the top one that I just love from Sandra Dini:

I was always wearing extravagant ring and necklaces but it was mainly high street cause they are more affordable. However, I just discovered http://www.wishwantwear.com that is a dress and accessory hire company! I fell in love with the Elizabeth Cole jewellery and hired them for a wedding I had to attend! Everybody loved them and I paid only 60 pounds! :D

This sort of jewelry can be designed from almost anything to indicate your personal style. Statement jewelry is of the most popular and impressive, and often this is exactly the response that a person wearing a piece wants.
