Sadly, post operative white surgical stockings (to prevent blood clots forming in the legs) don't look right with a kilt, so I have stuck to jogging trousers and loose jeans. My time is up in another day, so back to the kilt with normal kilt socks. I believe that kilts need to team up with the right socks, shoes etc., to give a real masculine image.

Skirts for men will only take off if they are designed to really looks masculine. The Spartan warriors and Roman soldiers certainly made the grade, but some of the clothing manufacturers who make "skirts for men" are only producing "catwalk comedy fodder". That's not what real men want want to wear in everyday life.
