Tight Skirts

Postby skirty » Tue Apr 17, 2007 12:19 am

I want to ask a few other girls, do you prefier a skirt to trousers? as i cant get on with trousers. In 36 and have only worn a pair of trousers twice, both times i felt silly in them. I have only worn skirts in my life and think they are what you should wear. I have a 14 year old daughter and dont let her wear trousers, but she likes to wear a skirt but as started to wear her skirts extreamly tight, to the extent tthat she has trouble getting on the bus. She dose not wear short ones, she wears her skirts at the knee or longer.
But is hobling around every wear. the other day she went out in a long pleated skirt, i thought thats better but found out later she has made a skirt out of a pair if leggings using one leg. I asked he why do you do this she replied that she likes the feeling of a tight long skirt. I had a look in her wordrobe the other day and i found sevral of her skirts that she has altered.
all tight. Even the school has said to me that they are worried about her as she has triuble going up stairs. Yes i want her to wear a skirt but not so tight.

i think your daughter is at an age where she is expressing herself through fashion.

you say she wont wear trousers, but maybe as a mother you have out pressure for her not to do so " i hate girls in trousers they look ...." etc etc.

because she knows your views on this (she doesn't want to dissapoint you) she is taking the skirt thing to the extreme, and at the same time trying to looks as sexy and rebelious as she can

i would let go a little and let here wear what she wants even if its trousers  or a tight skirt. if you dont react you will soon realise she wont act like this, and find her own style in time

at 14 i wanted to wear all kinds of things cuz it was fun...i read it in a magazine or i saw others wear something that i thought i would look good in. my mom made it clear though that since she is paying for my outfits that i wear what she thought was acceptable. it didnt stop me from borrowing outfits but i didnt go to school showing more than she thought i should.

hope this helps

Skirty You are very much like me, i have never to worn a pair of trousers, but im like your daughter i understand why she likes tight skirts, as that is alll i wear, the feeling of your skirt conroling your walk is the best, i have been like this since school where all the girls used to compeat with eaxh other on who could wear the tightest skirt.

If she wants to wear her skirts like thi just let her, its better that her wearing a mini skirt that makes her all tarty

Although the boys may find her more attractive this way, she needs to be careful, tight skirts can reduce a woman's fertility because of the pressure on her womb and ovaries. You don't her about this kind of thing very often because it's not such a big an issue as with men, but the risk is still there.

I agree with the other posters, I have only once tried one pair and I looked and felt so uncomfortable in them that I have never repeated the experience again,as others have said I do not look or feel right in trousers. Having said that I would not want to inflict my tastes on anyone else. Looking back on my mother and aunt they never wore trousers either. My favourite skirts were the figure hugging ones that used lycra, whatever happened to those, they had sex appeal written all over them. My other passion in skirts is my denim collection, another must have for serious skirt wearers. I only have a few that come close to the knee, most are about six inches above. Minis rule says Cuffed2Bits. :D

Denim miniskirts are a very hot and flexible unisex item that can be worn almost anywhere and by almost anyone, match them with a pair of heels and stockings and you can go any place, match them with flats and panties and you can't be more comfortable or casual. My boyfriend and I have often worn matching denim miniskirts and shirts for casual outtings, and both love the comfort on hot days or evenings.

I think you should let your daughter try different styles of clothes. at 14 and at school, image is very important and there are certain trends that girls will follow no matter what there parents say- unfortunatley.
Clothes- fashion is a way or expressing yourself.
at 14 and she,s making her own clothes maybe thats a talent she can use in the future too. maybe you should expierment aswell. different shapes and styles of trousers and skirts.
i have to wear a skirt as part of my uniform and some times its heaven to wear trousers!
good luck tho :)

You should let your daughter try whatever she wants just as long as she is still respectable. Trousers are now a part of every modern girl's wardrobe so it isn't fair to deny her the opportunity to try them for herself. These days womens' trousers can by just as feminine as a skirt anyway.

Stalking me again, alf. Careful, fella, people might draw the conclusion that you are attracted to, not just guys, but fat ones as well. And, by the by, I have NEVER advocated wearing a skirt--just the right to wear one without being constantly hasseled by trolls such as you. BUTT OUT alf!
