WE do actually need the rain but I think the people in charge should announce a drought at teh beginning of October it it has done since they did is bloody rain.
Mind you makes walking the dog even more fun!

I have decided on a method that will end this "drought"...


Yesterday evening we took Molly out during a brief window in the constant drizzle and tried her tracking ability in the strong winds. Chap was let loose for 20 mins to get away out of sight across the fields & hedges (downwind too) and Molly had to find him, which she did in less than five mins. I used to have German Shepherds, if her idea of "protection" wasn't licking people into submission Molly would be the first Labradoodle to pass Schutzhund tests...

Don't tell me you are going to dilute the water to make it go further! Already tried it the problem is you have to have the right kind of water to dilute in the first place it wont work with the wrong sort of water which typically is what we get in England. Of course the Scots, French, Irish and Welsh all have the correct type of water but are unwillingto sell it to us for obvious reasons.

What spangle would try to dilute water?? As for that foreign water it just gives one dodgy tum so they're better off keeping it.


No, I have decided to buy some turf... I shall do some on-line perusal while I'm at work tomorrow morning and get some on the way home if possible. As soon as that appears in my garden the rain will disappear and I'll be left with a few dozen dried bits of expensive earth tiles.

Not the worst plan I ever heard but it won't work I am afraid, why? Because there is a drout and therefor a hospipe ban those two things emanating the mouth of an offical official person from the official water ministry government thingy is better than any rain dance ever performed by a red indian and will last longer than anything st Swithin ever sent us.
No what we need to do is get the offical official person from the official water ministry government thingy to tell us the drout is over and we can all use our hosepipes in fact he needs to demand we use them all the time then the rain will stop.

My cunning plan involves more than just bunging some turf down, it will be warm & dry in no time by the time I've finished. Also one doesn't see many native Americans around here so waiting for one of those to turn up and start dancing to the clouds is going to take a while...
