But the real beauty of English, the most particularly wonderful and indescribably charming part is when it is not concise, when it is allowed to roam, either at will or along some well directed path to its destinmation and in so doing it is given full and unbridled permission to bring its full majesty to bear upon the subject, when the wielder is particularly skilled to bring the recipient to a point of insensibility when they will agree to anything even if they do not know to what it is that they agree.
Now to watch or rather listen to English being used thus is a joy of great enormity, but to be able to resist even the most skilled practitioner of the art is a wonder the like of which has rarely been surpassed.
If politics were an honourable profession no self respecting politician would be interested in it.
