Hi Kats and Chicks! I watched this video for the first time two weeks ago, in early May 2012, after borrowing it from Queensland Conservatorium library which had an advance copy. I am a devotee of the music of Thelonious Monk. He has been a major inspiration to me as a composer and performer of jazz music for more than three decades, and I was well aware of the wonderful part that Nica played not only in his life, but in reaching out to the other outstanding musicians of New York City for almost four decades. To watch this DVD was a deeply emotional experience for me. Highly recommended, and don't take any notice of a certain correspondent from the Independent who wrote an article recently totally trashing the character of this fabulous woman and her relationship to the great Monk.

A Love Supreme!
