The first thing to do is block all drafts, look round window frames and under window sills, use a candle to identify drafts.
Keep in mind that most people spend most of their time in one room on the ground floor.
Logic: Sort this room first.... insulating your loft will not help keep a ground floor room warm!
Do not buy a new boiler.... it may take 71 years to recover its cost, especially if fitted by BG.
