You may not be pregnant. It is not unusual for active teens and young adults to miss a period every now and then. If you do extreme exercise or you are working under stress, this may delay your period. It your period occurs within three months of your previous period then you have nothing to worry about. If more than three months have past since your last period then you should consult your physician.

The best thing for you to do now is to relax and wait it out.

Postby Elisalee » Thu Oct 11, 2007 4:10 am

:( My name is Elisa and I am 4 days late on my period as well but I have taken 3 home pregnancy tests and 1 urine test by my doctor and they are all negative! But my thing is that I REALLY,REALLY want to have another child! I try to use ovulation calenders, bbt, charts and all that stuff but my period is not cooperating and I'm getting very frusterated and not to mention sad! Maybe I just want to have another baby so badly that I'm making my body cycle this way...... What should i do? I'm a married 27 year old with one 18 month old already, and now we are ready for another one but it's just not happening. :? Somebody....anybody ....please help us out! We're desprate!

Hello Elisa,

It seems that planning to have a baby is having an adverse affect on your body. So the best thing to do is to take you mind of having another baby and relax so that your body can get back to normal. The enjoy having sex as much as you like, as long as you like, and as often as you can. Eventually, something will happen.

Good luck.

i had that a while back, it could be a hormonal blip? or unknown stress...you are worried or anxious but you dont realise you are stressed?

My period still hasn't arrived. I'm about 6 days late. My period cycle varies, anything from 27 days- 30, but it is a bit late now. I know i have not had sex for a few months, so i know it isn't because i'm pregnant.
I have however had a stressful few weeks... started 3 new jobs, and my OH's dog was knocked down and killed on New Years Day which was very upsetting. Is this the reason? grrr... so annoying!!!

Thanks Advice would be greatfully appreciated!!

confuddled wrote:Hi,
My period is now over 2 weeks late. My partner has had a vasectomy so there isn't really a chance I could be pregnant - even so I did do a pregnancy test just in case - that was negative. I'm not stressed about anything, have neither lost or put on a lot of weight and I am reasonably healthy! I can't get an appointment with my GP until late next week.
Has anybody got any ideas? Or has this happened to any of you?
Thanks.
